Animation Production Days Animation Production Days (APD) - is a joint venture by FMX and ITFS - serves as a business platform for the international animation industry.

Effective one-to-one meetings are at the heart of Animation Production Days (APD). Producer pitch their selected cinema, TV and transmedia projects to broadcasters, distrobutors, funders, investors and potential coproduction partners in individually prepared and customised meetings. The exclusive, focused and friendly atmosphere provides great networking opportunities. Communal meals offer partici

pants the chance to deepen newly-made contacts, develop ideas and share experiences. The program is completed by our conference track, and APD and FMX joint venture, where top-level speakers share their strategies and visions for the future of the animation industry.

🎫 Once again, through our ongoin fruitful cooperation with CARTOON Forum we were able to give out our Cartoon Wildcard to two of the German Projects taken part at this years APD. Thank you for the partnership and your presence at APD once more Annick Maes!

All the german broadcasters voted for whom the Wildcard is given for this years Cartoon Forum, taking place in 14.-17. September 2026 in Toulouse.

"APD is for sure my favourite pitching forum in Western Europe.
For several reasons... There is always super strong representation of all key players in the region - producers, broadcasters, funding bodies and distributors.

The venue is "small enough" to make sure we all meet and talk person to person, which is a huge advantage if you ask me. And the organisation of the venue and our one-on-one meetings is always impeccable!!! I love it. Huge congrats to APD (and to us as producers) for the first 20 years of creating a great scene to pitch and financing on.
Now let's get another 20 years."

🎬Project 50 - The Band Below the Boat🦈 (APD Talent Project)

Bowie, Betty, and Barry are always being given errands by their parents. Picking up litter or finding keys may seem dull to any adult, but for them, these are epic adventures. A neighbor's lost key is a decoded cipher; a littered park, a battlefield under siege by toxic invaders. Their imagination turns mundane chores into high-stakes missions: action battles, Sherlockian mysteries, or spy operations. For this trio, the ordinary doesn't exist; every task is a legendary story.

H501 Studio is a production company from Spain. They are currently concepting this 2D cut-out (with real backgroungs) animated TV Series for Children (6-9 years).

🎬Project 49 - Somebody 🌆 (APD Talent Project)

"Sombody" was selected by the Animation Media Creators Region Stuttgart (AMCRS) as part of the Creators Pitch Lab.

In a corroding, grime soaked city ruled by lawlessness and neon lights, something ancient boils beneath the surface. A young drifter named Cross is pulled into a conflict far bigger than himself and is pushed beyond his physical and emotional limits. The series is an urban nightmare drenched in neon, blending gangster drama, psychological horror and tragic coming of age into a story about identity, myth and the desperate desire to become somebody in a city that does not care.

Manolo Navarro Alonso is a producer from Germany. They are currently concepting this Stylized 2D / 3D Hybrid Animation TV Series for Young Adults / Adults.
