Someone commented on one of my videos that parenting is easier than going to work. And maybe it is.

If you’ve got a hands-on partner.

If money worries aren’t weighing on your shoulders.

If you’re not managing a serious health issue on top of everything else.

But those things don’t mean parenting is easy.

They mean you’re parenting with a safety net a lot of mums don’t have.

Take that safety net away and you’re not really comparing two jobs anymore.

You’re comparing one with a start time, an end time, a defined role and a salary…to one with none of those things at all.

Parenting with a safety net looks very different to doing it without. And this is why I say context always matters - two mums with the same number of and ages of kids can have a wildly different experience!

This is the kind of thing I love to talk about! So hit follow to join the conversation ♥️

Having a baby means sacrificing things. But the things they bring can also be epic.

Motherhood asks us to level up, and while it might mean doing things that are hard - leaving relationships, setting boundaries, changing aspects of our lives that felt comfortable before - it can lead to a life that actually feels amazing.

The trench won’t be a trench forever ♥️

Watching the backlash to Nara Smith’s interview, took me back to being 14, and being dumped by a group of girls in my new school. Seeing parody reels and reading hundreds of comments about Nara, I found myself asking:

Why are women so mean to each other? What makes another woman fair game?

This isn’t about Tradwives and whether they’re wrong or not.

It’s about judgement, humiliation, and what happens when women stop feeling safe around other women.

I’m unpacking this in this week’s episode of The Mama Circle Podcast - find it wherever you love to listen the most ♥️

And I’d love to know, what do you make of all the noise circulating about Nara right now?

Imagine working hard for 3 degrees only to end up financially dependent. Mums NEED to be financially healthy, not just for themselves, but for the family as a whole
