FACE DOWN HERO feat. NICK WA**ER - Kein Bock (2020)

The basic idea of doing some covers from local bands they like started nearly two years ago when Kali (guit/vox) and Carsten (drums) from Marburg thrashers FACE DOWN HERO did some jam sessions. // Now, while Covid-19 restrictions kept every band in their practice room, this consideration came back. Fußpils were a German punk rock band from Marburg and their album “Halluzinogene Pilze” still has a legendary status in Marburg’s local music scene. // For the recording Kali and Carsten could convince their friend and ex -Fußpils bass player Nick Wa**er to dig out his old four string and do the bass part for this song once again – 31 years after the original version was released. // So let’s start 2021 with “Kein Bock”....

Die Grundidee, Cover-Songs von lokalen Bands die sie mögen zu spielen, hatten Kali (git/vox) und Carsten (drums) von der Marburger Thrash-Formation FACE DOWN HERO bereits seit einigen Jahren. Nun, da Covid-19 alle Bands in ihren Proberäumen festhält, kam diese Überlegung zurück. // Fußpils waren eine deutsche Punkrock-Band aus Marburg, deren Album „Halluzinogene Pilze“ noch immer Kultstatus in der Marburger Musikszene genießt. // Für die Aufnahme konnten Kali und Carsten ihren Freund und ehemaligen Fußpils- Bassisten Nick Wa**er davon überzeugen, den alten Viersaiter auszukramen und den Basspart für diesen Song nochmal zu spielen – 31 Jahre nachdem die Ur-Version veröffentlicht wurde. // Lasst uns also 2021 mit „Kein Bock“ beginnen....
