Fructus Eius by LUCI LLA, Kaan Bulak, Luise Enzian

Fructus Eius is a collaborative track. LUCI LLA has been singing in vocal ensembles but this is her first solo project. Inspired by Palestrina’s Canticum Canticorum (Song of Songs), she redefined the lines of the secular love confessions. “Fructus eius dulcis gutturi meo”translates to “His fruit is sweet to my palate” and is re-interpreted by LUCI LLA as a self-assuring inner dialog. The electronics and production by Kaan Bulak enable the piece to move forward and backwards, giving it a timeless flow – complemented by the baroque harp of Luise Enzian.

tephra is an interdisciplinary album by poet and pianist Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg. Within ten poems he describes a process of healing, combining languages of love, science, psychology and mysticism. His setting of the poems formally resembles a musical score, treating the space between the lines as a space in which music can emerge - it is the unsaid and the unsayable. Drawing on his experience as a Lied-Pianist and a live improviser, Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg sets his words to music in this album, merging concepts of art song, melodrama, spoken word and improvisation-based composition. His music arises intuitively from the contents and the simultaneous recitation of his own poetry, taking up the ancient tradition of self-accompanied poetic recitation, expanded through electroacoustic extensions by Kaan Bulak.  
The release is accompanied by a limited edition poetry art print, designed by Forma. It contains all ten poems in their original formal setting with a manifold embossing, converting the soundscapes of tephra into an audio-visual experience, and comes with a download code for the album. The art print will be exhibited at .haus until Thursday, 17.04. and be available through their shop as well via .

tephra is a poetry work and interdisciplinary album by pianist and poet Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg and will be released on April 11th. Within ten poems he describes a process of healing, combining languages of love, science, psychology and mysticism. Translating poetic imagery into musical form, Daniel acts as reciter and pianist, composing his music simultaneously with the recitation of his poetry. The electroacoustic extensions by Kaan Bulak expand this immersive record, while Forma designed the accompanying art print. It contains all ten poems in their original formal setting with a manifold embossing, converting the soundscapes of tephra into an audiovisual experience.
