ETUI Records record label for deep and dub techno from Dresden / Germany Etui is a Dresden based record label founded by Oliver Hartmann aka Insect O. in 1998.

The label sound is focusing on a deeper side of techno. It´s a process of finding more ways to bring emotions down to the dancefloor. With the new colored and limited vinyl series we are focusing to our musical roots back in the late 90s. Artists such as Insect O., Monomood or Marko Fürstenberg are retracing Detroit Techno and simultaneously transfering Dub Techno into an up-to-date audio frame. Furthermore we bring you some more listening stuff with our new yearly Etui Winter Camp compilation on which also Patrick Zigon, Quantec, Frank Hellmond or Melbourne’s Echo Inspectors joined our camp.

Track of the Week: Tim Kossmann - Loop C

With Lockdown Loops the Westfalia dub techno mastermind presents a very personal EP with 3 deep, loop based tunes recorded in extreme isolation during lockdown. The situation created a feeling of lonesome remoteness and uncertainty, transcended by putting in more man hours in the studio.

Loop C on the b-side consists probably of the most heavenly sounding melancholic chord loop he has recorded so far. Expect a tune composed of atmospheric bluster combined with a banging deep mono bass and different layers of noise. It is simply an epic lofi sound anthem.
