When Throbbing Gristle came to Chicago to perform in 2009 at The Logan Square Auditorium, Gen was in a particularly sassy mood. I watched as a line of fans presented things for the band to sign. A young man handed Gen a human leg bone, Gen acted surprised and said “I’ve actually never signed a bone before”. Everyone laughed when the next person in line was the man’s girlfriend, also with a bone. With no hesitation Gen replied, “Oh, a bone, I’ve signed bones before”.
