South Sudan achieved its independency from Sudan today 9 years ago. This ended the longest civl war in Africa. However did not bring an end to the conflict in South Sudan. Civil war broke out in 2013 when president Salva Kiir and vice-president Riek Machar disagreed on shared-power. This lead to some 4 million displaced people and five years of war. In 2018 same president and vice-president, signed an agreement of shared-power and with this people could come back to their homes. Some remained behind, in their refugee country where they made a new life. Uganda gave land to those asylum seekers.
