The first time I played Tresor Berlin was back in 1996, I was asked to step in and play as one of the DJ's could no longer make it to their set and well, the rest is history as this lead to my residency where I enjoyed some of my fondest memories as a DJ until its closure in 2005. Thanks to places like Tresor, I learnt so much about Techno music and its community spirit, which is exactly what Dimitri Hegemann has always achieved so well with Tresor.
Dimitri opened Tresor.West 4 years ago in Dortmund and last weekend, I was invited back to play at the club's four-year anniversary. Arriving at the venue instantly brought back so many good memories. It was such an inclusive and welcoming crowd, truly a one-of-a-kind space. Massive thanks to everyone involved on the night and to the crowd for creating such a fun and nostalgic atmosphere that will be on my mind for a while! An unsung hero of the industry and I’m truly grateful for your work over the years. Thank you Dimitri Hegemann, what you are creating is timeless! Peace out x
