For our future releases, when it comes to shipping to USA, we have to think about whether this will work out or not. It has become very complicated and irritating, because in order to correctly label goods for import into the US for our fans and buyers, we need a so-called HS code, e.g., for cassettes, vinyl, and CDs. We don't know what these codes are or where to get them. Bandcamp refers us to several websites with different databases, and it's all just too confusing and overwhelming. Without these HS codes, which we're supposed to include in our customs declaration, importing our music into the US becomes very expensive and therefore unaffordable. If anyone can give us any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, Bandcamp is forcing its creators to switch their payment platform from PayPal to Stripe, which is known for selling personal data to the highest bidder. We don't yet know how we'll handle this.

Today, we received another great remix for our next release, that is scheduled for late summer / early autumn 2025. None other than Submersion has once again contributed a fantastic remix, and the 15+ mins piece truly lets you drift away.

Now that we've received the first remixes, a subtle common thread is gradually emerging that runs through the whole release.

Also confirmed as further remixers for the next digital album release are Submersion (Justin Francazio) and Coppice Halifax (Brian Grainger). We are very happy that they're us as well one more time and we are very looking forward how everything will turn out.

we are thrilled to inform you that we have just received the shipping notification from our pressing plant in Austria for the vinyls of our next release, called "Voices from the Forest".

A few minutes ago, we sent the full audio masters, artworks and documents to the pressing plant in Austria for our forthcoming release, our very first vinyl, called "Voices from the Forest" (Labelcode FRV001) by Nemo & Jaymon.

This rare release is expected to be published by the very end of March 2025 and we are confident to open pre-orders accordingly right beforehand.

This 10 years anniversary edition will not be very large, is therefore extremely limited, a collector's item (so to speak) and expensive, there will be no repress. The artworks are very much in tune with the release and are taken from carefully selected photographs out of over 160 films made between 2014 - 2025, taken with an analogue Russian Zenit-E camera from 1979.

As soon as pre-orders are open, we encourage you to save your copy as quick as you can.

Short update regarding our newest release, that has been announced to be released during Q1/2025:

All our tracks are done and done. We will forward the new material to the mastering now. After that, we will finally send all tracks to the pressing plant in Austria.

According to current estimates, we expect to enable pre-orders in March 2025 (fingers crossed!).

Hello and thanks to you all checking in once again,
on this very last day of 2024 we are thrilled to share some exciting news with you!

We hereby officially announce that we will be releasing a new EP entitled “Voices from the Forest” in the first quarter of 2025 to mark our 10+ year anniversary. To celebrate this, this special edition will be released on vinyl for the first time in the history of our label. The EP classically will consist of three pieces on the vinyl itself, of course it will also be released digitally and will then contain two bonus remixes.

Still, it will be extremely limited due to some factors and it is highly recommended to be quick when the release message drops in your inbox. We are very excited to see how it all turns out, because the first vinyl record is a significant and huge step for every music label and of course something that every collector's heart desires.
For now, we wish you all a happy new year and a safe and healthy start to it!

On August 8th 2024, we will perform a special live set at the Kunst.Raum.Konzerte – Musik trifft Yoga mit Forest Roots & Anna Zepnick Live Act in Dresden, Germany, together with Anna Zepnick and the voice of our poet in residence at Forest Roots, Jeremy Clarke (UK). Subtle soundscapes and ambient field recordings will meet guided yoga movements and meditation, accompanied by our "Wandered Moments" film. Bring a mat with you. Instead of doing the movements, you can just lie there and listen and take in everything.

In this little piece I used an older song that I changed and remixed for the purpose of meditation. I think, the newly used field recordings (the calming babbling of the stream and the summer chirping in the meadows, both recorded near the overgrown gardens in Hainewalde) and the subtle slow melodic waves of the song with the accentuated and profound words create the impression being very close to the pulse and the quiet secrets of nature and suddenly while feeling very centered and grounded. Like a story from a book. It's hard to resist listening again and again, somehow seems very hypnotic about it. I'm excited to see how it will change the mood in the room and how the guests will feel about this and other pieces. We're really looking forward to this live set!
