‘If you want to be a journalist, do it differently, so you get a unique brand and a mark on it.” A journalist since the early 1990s, Declan Hill is an expert in match-fixing and corruption in…

Congratulations to the Stepanovs and Hajo Seppelt on winning the Play The Game 2017 award!

We were all inspired by hearing him speak and were lucky enough to have him on our last live stream which was posted just yesterday before the award ceremony.

We hope you all enjoyed our coverage during the conference. Thanks to everyone for being so willing to speak to us and for all the retweets and likes! We will still be posting follow up stories, lots of pictures and more videos in the coming 2 weeks so please stick around and tell your friends and colleagues 🙂 on a final note, before we all get some much needed rest - we feel very privileged to have been able to hear such prominent people from the sporting community speak and to have met you all. It was a very educational 4 days and we thank you all for making it the experience that it was. 😁 - From the On The Game 17 Newsdesk.

Juha Kanerva is a sports writer and historian from Finland. “The best thing in Finland is nature - it’s beautiful and pure. Clean water and nice forests. Everybody who comes to Finland should visit the forests, maybe alone or with a good friend, just to hear the silence. It’s a large country with quite few people, so there are a lot of silent places, which is really beautiful.” This is Juha’s third Play The Game conference. He first attended one in Copenhagen, and then in Aarhus. 🖊🌳🌲🍃🌿
