“Today I got up as if nothing had happened. I got up eternal, eternal enough not to think about the ends of time. Eternal enough to absolve myself of the small problems that make the discomfort of our tidy luxuries
”

The poem expresses the deep-rooted collective feeling of dizziness under ecological uncertainty. Emotions such as despair, apathy, angst, and unbridled anger, tend to convey a critical outlook onto our times, by means of a caricature of the ferociousness and disenchantment of late western modernity.

“Silence, ça meurt” / “Silence, it dies”

Terra Preta, meaning “black earth” in Portuguese, is a technique for building fertile soil developed by indigenous Amazonian civilizations thousands of years ago. In recent years, farmers have begun drawing inspiration from this ancient technique to regenerative soil around the globe.

Circle Carbon is one of these visionary farms. Their lush headquarter in Mallorca combines ancient knowledge with modern technologies to plant the seeds for a regenerative future. Astrid and Christer, the founders of Circle Carbon, prompts us to reimagine our food systems and how we can cultivate human and planetary health.

AimĂ©e Wallin .wav is a program coordinator at Ghana Food Movement — a young and action-driven network and agency of farmers, scientists, chefs, engineers, journalists, artists, marketers, policy makers, entrepreneurs, producers and designers all highlighting the potential of Ghanaian food.

Through the diversity of its members, the movement embodies how connectedness to one’s local environment goes hand in hand with connectedness throughout the community.

THANK YOU!

We are overwhelmed by all the love and support. Thank you to all of you who came for our launch of SOIL and took part in creating such a warm and vivid atmosphere ❀

We are grateful for our wonderful hosts , for our beloved friend and incredible DJ Elias Gozal, and for the four amazing panelists, Caroline Bessermann, Claus Meyer, Tannie Nyboe, and Theodor Nymark who invited us into a refreshing conversation about food, climate change, and our vital connection with the earth.

In Mesh we envision a future, where honoring the earth isn’t happening only on the fringes of society, but a prevalence characterizing our common culture. Supporting this transition is one of the primary purposes of our publication and this latest volume, SOIL.

A special thank you to all the wonderful contributors of our second volume – your inspiring ideas, practices, and passion gave us the sustenance to continue this year’s journey into the subterranean realm of soil.

Have a look at the seasonal, freshly harvested veggies we picked up at .

On top of sharing with us locally and organically hand-grown food, Tannie Nyboe – farmer and co-founder of the regenerative collective farm MosegĂ„rden – will take part in the panel debate ‘Rooting Our Visions’, this Friday at the release of ’SOIL’. A rare occasion to get to know the person who grows what will end up on your plate.

The chefs at Villette will add their magic to turn those healthy nourishers and create a memorable experience for your tastebuds. Looking forward to sharing the moment with you. Welcome from 17.00 to 22.00 at Villette, FĂŠlledvej, 12.

We are beyond grateful for all who participated in our Soil Poetry Reading and Christmas GlĂžgg last week. Thank you to the contributors who shared their poetry and to everyone who came and shared their thoughts, feelings, and presence. Your daring energy steamed the windows of Brigade Gallery, who so generously hosted us.

Thank you ❀
