now presenting “4/four for the floor”. this second dj session is intended to be the soundtrack for your saturday on this vinyl ritchie weekend. in contrast to yesterday’s dj session, this is all dirty disco style – beats, synths and grooves – another part of what i love to dj. the vibe is some straight up 4/4 beats to get your feet a-movin' & your body a-groovin' -- akin to what i would djed at the icelandic mecca here in copenhagen, blasen or at distortion.

this was a pleasure to make – really working on those seamless crossovers between tracks. enjoy your saturday!

so it’s the start of a vinyl ritchie weekend....

i’ve been knocking a few dj session ideas around, and for this weekend i have a new dj mix for each day of the weekend. each sounding different than the others. each dj session has a specific venue in mind, where i have played in this city i call home. so maybe you won't like each mix, but one man's trash is another man's treasure.

this first session is for your friday, which focuses on your indie rock/postpunk/rock/whatever vibe -- akin to what i would play at Drone Bar. i tried a few loops, etc. with it.

now, if anyone can name all the artists & songs that i used to create the 1,2,3,4 countdown collage intro, i'll buy you a beer.
