Though Spain🇪🇦 and Denmark 🇩🇰 both are European and Schengen countries, there are huge differences between them.
People are beautiful in Denmark, while the weather is outstanding in Spain
Danish people often have a fake smile, which most Spanish people cannot do.
Denmark is a cashless country, whereas in Spain you still need to carry cash in many places.
In Denmark, many people have a relatively open attitude toward s*x life and they may speak openly about having multiple partners. In contrast, Spanish culture is somewhat more conservative in discussing such matters. In many cases, Spanish tend to give greater importance to emotional attachment and romantic connection rather than seeking physical satisfaction with different partners in a short period of time.
Language is a barrier in Spain, while Denmark is okay with English. Danish people try to avoid quarrels and fighting, which is the opposite in Spain.
As a South Asian, you need far more “oiling” to Danish people if you want to be friends with them. But Spanish people are not like that. They do not think of themselves as much more superior than us like many Danish people do.
Maybe it is because of their government. The Danish government facilitates Danish and European Union people much more and makes life difficult for non-EU people in many ways. But in Spain there are not so many differences created by the government between Spanish and non-Spanish people, which creates less discrimination in lifestyle.
Overall, many Danish people do not think of us as their own. They often see us as a burden, while the Danish government uses us as a cash cow.
If you are a non-EU student in Denmark, specially from a third world country, you will hear the same question many times: ‘When are you planning to leave Denmark?’ — even though we are allowed to stay three more years after completing our studies, as this was part of the visa conditions granted by the Danish government when we came.
