Hey everyone,
I’ve been working, in my free time, on a mobile app to control ROS-based robots, and it’s now available for testing.
The app connects over Wi-Fi and communicates via WebSockets using the robridge protocol. It sends JSON messages that are received, interpreted, and published by the robridge webserver.
🕹️ You can control the robot using:
• Joystick commands
• Voice commands (via speech-to-text) — the Turtlesim demo below uses this mode.
⚙️ The app includes a flexible settings page where you can:
• Set the robot IP address.
• Configure the webserver port.
• Define the velocity command topic.
• Adjust linear and angular velocities in real time.
📱 Built with .NET MAUI, following the MVVM pattern with two-way data binding.
Useful for quick field tests, demonstrations, or remote teleoperation.
