Man Sentenced for Threatening Queen Margrethe’s Life 🇩🇰

A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to psychiatric treatment for an indefinite period after making a death threat against Denmark’s Queen Margrethe.

The incident occurred in February 2023, when the man called the Danish Royal Household, saying:

“I’ve been ordered to kill the Queen.”

He claimed to be controlled by terrorists through a chip in his brain and stated that after killing the Queen, he would take his own life.

A royal secretary immediately contacted the police. Authorities later confirmed the man was mentally ill, not acting on a credible threat.

The Roskilde court ruled that the man was not fit for regular imprisonment and issued a court-ordered psychiatric treatment sentence instead.

Swimming Warning in Copenhagen Harbor! 🚫

Ahenfo Radio Denmark News Update

Authorities have advised against swimming at Kalvebod Bølge in Copenhagen Harbor after a water test revealed high levels of f***l bacteria (bacteria from human waste).

Swimming is also not recommended at two beaches in Vedbæk.
This advisory is in effect until at least Wednesday.

BREAKING NEWS | Ahenfo Radio Denmark

A Flixbus traveling from Copenhagen to Vienna overturned on the A19 motorway in Germany, north of Berlin, around 2:40 AM Friday.

At least four Danish passengers were on board.
A total of 23 people have been reported injured, according to German media outlet Bild.

Police in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern confirm that investigations are ongoing to determine how and if the Danish passengers were injured.

Historic Change: Conscription Now Fully Gender-Equal in Denmark 🇩🇰

As of July 1, 2025, Denmark marks a historic milestone—military conscription is now fully gender-equal. From today, all Danish citizens turning 18 after June 30, 2025, regardless of gender, are required to attend “Forsvarets Dag” to determine their eligibility for military service.

This major step forward is the result of a broad political agreement in the Danish Parliament, set out in the 2023 Defence Agreement, which called for a strengthened and modernized conscription system.

🗨️ “By opening the gates equally to both women and men, we tap into the full talent pool of Denmark. It gives us greater combat strength and sends a clear message that the Armed Forces is a modern community where everyone can contribute to the defense of the Kingdom of Denmark,” says Chief of Defence, General Michael Wiggers Hyldgaard.

Starting in 2026, a new and extended conscription model will be introduced. Service will last 11 months, with:
• 5 months of enhanced basic training, and
• 6 months of operational duty in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Special Operations Command.

Women who turn 18 before July 1, 2025 are not required to attend Forsvarets Dag but may still volunteer under the existing rules.

Eligible individuals will receive an official summons through e-Boks, administered by the Personnel Command of the Ministry of Defence.

Atlanta, June 11, 2025 – Ricky Lamar Hawk, better known as rapper Silentó, the artist behind the viral 2015 hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty but mentally ill to voluntary manslaughter in the 2021 shooting death of his cousin, Frederick Rooks III

In the early hours of January 21, 2021, Rooks, aged 34, was found shot in the leg and face in Panthersville, near Decatur, Georgia. Investigators found 10 bullet casings at the scene

Update: Nationalities Confirmed for Passengers on Crashed Air India Flight AI171

Further details have emerged following the crash of Air India Flight AI171 shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad earlier today.

According to an official update from Air India, the flight was carrying passengers of multiple nationalities. The breakdown of nationalities on board is as follows:
• 🇮🇳 169 Indian nationals
• 🇬🇧 53 British nationals
• 🇨🇦 1 Canadian national
• 🇵🇹 7 Portuguese nationals

Breaking News: Air India Flight Crashes After Takeoff in Ahmedabad

A tragic incident occurred earlier today in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad, where an Air India passenger aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from the local airport.

Eyewitnesses and footage from the scene show a massive plume of dark smoke billowing into the sky, raising concerns over potential injuries or fatalities. However, official details regarding the number of passengers on board or any casualties have not yet been confirmed.

The airline identified the flight as AI171, which was en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick. In a brief statement, Air India acknowledged the incident and stated that it is currently working to collect further information and will issue updates as the situation becomes clearer.

Shortly after the airline’s announcement, Gatwick Airport also released a statement confirming that Flight AI171 had crashed during its departure from Ahmedabad. The flight had been scheduled to arrive in London at 6:25 p.m. local time (1:25 p.m. ET).
