Klein er en historisk udgivelse af arkitekt og professor Vilhelm Kleins (1835-1913) tre tidligere ikke-udgivne manuskripter: Architektportraiter, Blade af Vrøvlets Historie og To Tidsaldre.

Manuskripterne er skrevet som kritiske indlæg til den samtidige arkitekturdebat og er skrevet i en uforbeholden, subjektiv tone, som både er underholdende og giver et ret præcist billede af tidens væsentligste strømninger i arkitekturen.

Tilsammen giver de tre tekster et portræt af 1800-tallets danske arkitekter, et kritisk indblik i 1800-tallets arkitekturdebat og en forståelse af historicismens grundidéer.

Bogen fortæller historien om mennesker, bier, planter og træ, der arbejder sammen om at regenerere et hjørne af området - både fysisk og socialt. Den bibringer dermed en nænsom diskussion om beboernes rolle i områdets udvikling og transformation.
