Once word got around, he actually received an apology.
But we still have more work to do.

Tyson Hanes made waves in the local music community by calling out unfair operations. Jam Juice,an AI-powered booking platform, was implemented into the local circuit when certain bar owners demanded that their bands now use this for collecting tips among other functions.

Since Tyson’s first video, they have backpedaled and reduced some of their fees, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

The way musicians are treated collectively on Broadway is far from perfect and there’s still a lot of work to do.
