تهدف جريدة الجزيرة العربية"إلى تحقيق جملة من الأهداف العامة :-
- نشر الوعي الإعلامي بدقة وموضوعية في تناول الخبر الصحفي.
- تعزيز الإعلام المستقل في مصر، وإقامة علاقات بين وسائل الإعلام المحلية والإقليمية والدولية وكذلك تعزيز حرية الكلمة والتعددية في التغطية الإعلامية كعناصر محورية لتعزيز مفهوم الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان.
- التأكيد على الحيادية الايجابية في العمل الإعلامي، وذلك بإحترام عقل المتلقي، والإحجام من اللجوء إلى ثقافة التحريض والتعبئة الإعلامية.
- تقديم الخدمة الإعلامية في إطار أحدث الوسائل والتقنيات الإعلامية.
-إشراك الإعلاميين والصحفيين الشباب ومنهم الخريجين في الدخول لواحة العمل الإعلامي وإدماجهم ضمن سوق العمل الإعلامي.
- إحداث تواصل إعلامي بين المصريين أينما كانوا، وبناء شبكة علاقات مع مجموعة من الهيئات والمؤسسات والمراكز الاعلامية محليا وعربيا بهدف تعميق أواصر وروابط الأخوة والتنسيق بينهم.
إلقاء الضوء على جملة من القضايا التي تؤثر على القضية الوطنية،سياسية، اجتماعية، ثقافية، اقتصادية وما شابه ذلك، بهدف دفع المسئولين لاتخاذ القرارات الضرورية لمعالجتها ووضع الحلول المناسبة لها.
