UN Arabic Language Day is observed annually on December 18.The event was established by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)[not in citation given] in 2010 to seeking "to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six of its official working languages throughout the organization". December 18 was chosen as the date for the Arabic language as it is "the day in 1973 when the General Assembly approved Arabic as an official UN language "

Amal ki kitaab thi.
Duaa ki kitaab banaa diyaa
(It was a Command for action.
You turned it into a book of prayer.)
Samajhne ki kitaab thi.
Parhne ki kitaab banaa diyaa.
(It was a Book to understand.
You read it without understanding.)
Zindaon kaa dastoor thaa.
Murdon kaa manshoor banaa diyaa.
(It was a code for the living.
You turned it into a manifesto of the dead.)
Jo ilm ki kitaab thi.
Usay laa ilmon ke haath thamaa diyaa.
(That which was a book of knowledge;
You abdicated to the ignoramus).
Taskheer-e-kayenaat kaa dars denay aayi thi.

For generations, Kolkata's Jews have counted the city's Muslims as friends, neighbours and even family.
Today, only 20 Jews remain in Kolkata. The Jewish Girls's school has mostly Muslim students. The last remaining synagogues have had generations of Muslim caretakers.

“This dunya hurts sometimes. And I mean HURTS.

Aasiya was a believing woman, married to Pharoah, one of the most evil men in history. When she refused to renounce her faith, Pharoah had her tortured to death. While being tortured, she looked up at the sky and made her Du'aa that has been immortalized in the Quran:

“My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people” (66:11).

Each one of us will go through trials and difficulties in this dunya. When we come to terms with this, we can refocus our energy on what really matters – doing whatever is in our power to be the BEST among people, and do the BEST actions and deeds, so we can build a home for ourselves in Jannah.

Ya Allah, build for us a home in Jannah near you!

Brother – Lower Your Gaze

The story of a young Man who had a habit of looking at women .

This young man asked Sheik : I feel guilty about myself for a bad habit i am unable to get rid off !
I can’t stop myself from looking at girls in the market, what should I do?

Sheikh gave him a glass full of milk which was filled upto its edges and asked one of his student to accompany him to the market.

He told his student to beat him in front of everyone if he spilled even a drop of milk.

Ofcourse the young man managed to walk without spilling a drop of milk and returned to the sheikh.

Sheikh asked : How many girls did u see on your way ??

The young man replied: I didn’t see anyone around me as my concentration was only on the glass of milk because i was scared of getting beaten up in front of everyone if i spill milk.

Sheikh Replied: The same is the case with a true Momin/Muslim.

The true believer is afraid of ALLAH and shame on the day of resurrection if he commits a sin …

These believers protect themselves from committing sin as they are always focused on the judgement day !!

ALLAH says In the Holy Quran:

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, ALLAH is all-aware of what they do.
Al Quran : Surah AL-Noor Verse No. 30.

May Allah protect us from looking at haram things…Aameen…!
