When I finally admitted I was overwhelmed (and why it changed my life as a mom + coach)
There was a season in my life when I thought the only way to prove myself—as a mom, a wife, and a professional—was to keep every plate spinning with a smile on my face.
I would get up before everyone else, pack lunches, rush to work, answer emails between meetings, squeeze in errands, and then come home to cook, clean, and make sure the kids felt cared for. On the outside, I looked like I had it together. Inside, I was running on fumes.
The truth? The to-do list wasn’t actually what broke me. It was the belief that I had to do it perfectly. That asking for help meant I was failing. That pausing meant I was lazy. And so I pushed harder, all while hiding the very real overwhelm that was quietly suffocating me.
The turning point came one evening when I couldn’t hold back the tears. My daughter walked into the room, and instead of wiping them away quickly, I let her see me. I admitted I was tired. I admitted I didn’t have it all figured out. And for the first time, I didn’t feel weak—I felt free.
That moment taught me what I now teach my clients: that balance isn’t about doing everything flawlessly, it’s about giving yourself permission to be human. It’s about building space into your days, softening the pressure, and creating rhythms that honor your wellbeing as much as everyone else’s
If you’ve been silently carrying overwhelm, know this: you don’t have to keep hiding it. There is a gentler way to lead, parent, and live—and I would love to show you how.

You deserve to feel spacious, grounded, and alive in your own life. And it all starts with telling yourself the truth.
