🔴 BREAKING: Uganda’s Deputy Army Chief Visits Troops Near Juba Amid Rising Tensions 🇺🇬🇸🇸

Uganda’s Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding, visited Ugandan troops in Bilnyang, just outside Juba, amid growing regional tensions.

The surprise visit follows deadly border clashes in Kajo-Keji County and political friction between President Salva Kiir and First VP Riek Machar.

“Prioritize combat readiness,” Okiding told the troops, praising their discipline under Brig. Gen. Anthony Mbuusi during Operation Mlinzi Wakimya.

A youth group, Awan Chan, claims UPDF soldiers in South Sudan earn $200/day, raising eyebrows.

The visit included top commanders from both Uganda and South Sudan, aiming to boost military cooperation.

Civil society advocate Ter Manyang Gatwech warned that rising tensions and provocative posts from Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba could destabilize peace efforts.

What’s your take? Peacekeeping or power play?

🔴 BREAKING: Akot Lual Arrested in Juba

Major General Akot Lual Arech, former presidential envoy and relative of President Salva Kiir, was arrested on August 2 in Juba along with his relative Akot Arech Bol, sparking outrage.

The Awan Chan Youth Union calls the arrest political, blaming VP Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel for targeting Akot over his opposition to Ugandan troop deployment in South Sudan.

🇺🇬 UPDF soldiers reportedly earn $200/day—while local troops go unpaid.
“This is not justice... it’s to silence dissent,” the youth union said.

They demand Akot’s immediate release and urge President Kiir to act.

No response yet from Bol Mel’s office. Security officials claim no info.

🔴 BREAKING: 30 Suspects Arrested in Gumbo Shirikat Crackdown — Including 4 Women!

Police in Juba carried out a major nighttime operation in Gumbo Shirikat, arresting 30 people — among them four women — in connection to armed robbery, looting, and night-time attacks.

Weapons including pangas and machetes were recovered, according to Police Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Daniel Justin, who confirmed the group had been “terrorizing the community.”

This comes after weeks of fear and rising complaints from residents.

“We just want to feel safe again,” said one local.

🔴 BREAKING: South Sudan Accepting U.S. Deportees – Even Those with No Ties to the Country 🇸🇸✈️🇺🇸

South Sudan has started accepting deportees from the U.S., including people from Vietnam, Cuba, and Myanmar — not just its own nationals.

A new Politico report suggests the move is part of a diplomatic deal: In exchange, Juba wants the U.S. to lift travel bans, unfreeze assets, attract investment, and drop sanctions on key officials. Including Vice-President Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel.

A leaked $500K lobbying contract has triggered backlash, with critics asking: What are we trading away — and for who’s benefit?

South Sudan isn’t alone — the U.S. is eyeing similar deals across Africa.

Smart diplomacy or risky gamble?
