𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐥, 19 July 2025 —— Today, the Governor of Upper Nile State, His Excellency Lt. Gen. James Koang Chuol Ranley has this afternoon addressed resident of Ogot Payam(Wau Shilluk), Makal County, as part of his broader effort to engaging with local population in Upper Nile State, among other South Sudanese.

In his addressing remarks, His Excellency James Koang Chuol commended the local authority for the warms reception, and urged them to disregard propaganda being propagated on Social Media that aimed at dividing and inciting civil population in Upper Nile State, as well as in South Sudan. Similarly, His Excellency the Governor urged the residents of Ogot Payam(Wau Shilluk) to embrace peace, security and unity of the people of Upper Nile State.

Present were Hon. Deng Joh Angok, D/Governor of Upper Nile State, Security Advisor, Ministers, SPLM State Secretary, Makal County Commissioner, Senior Security Officers, among other officials.

Stephen Dhieu Dau and his group are engineering tribal politics and planting violence in the hearts of Upper Nile people. Stephen Dhieu must be isolated from the oil money meant for the communities, and all his big contracts with oil companies should be stopped and investigated now.
