In the context of repeated attempts to silence the voice of Egyptians, and coinciding with the number of voters surpassing half a million, our website has been subjected in the past hours to systematic hacking attempts, all of which have failed miserably and did not succeed in accessing our systems or affecting the site’s content in any way, thanks to God.
Following the failure of those attempts, a large-scale cyber attack of the denial-of-service (DDoS) type was carried out, by generating more than 73 million fake requests to visit the site in a short period of time, which caused unprecedented pressure on the servers and led to the site temporarily ceasing operation.
We would like to assure the masses of our people and our Egyptian nation that our site does not store any personal data of users in the first place, and browsing or using it does not require entering any private information, which makes the privacy of visitors fully protected, and it has not been—and will not be—subject to any threat.
The technical team is currently working on fully restoring the service and taking the necessary additional measures to ensure the site’s continuity and protection from any future disruption attempts.
Blocking the site, then attempting to hack it, and resorting to foreign companies to launch a cyber attack with millions of fake accounts to disable it, clearly proves the bankruptcy of this fragile regime, its deep fear of any free voice, and confirms its full awareness of the reality that it is a rejected and hated regime by the noble Egyptian people.
In this context, we send a message of hope and confidence to our great Egyptian people: These moments have proven that you are stronger than they have long tried to convince you otherwise, and that Egyptians, if they unite and support each other, realize the true extent of their power in confronting the military state represented by Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
