AIO for asking my husband's female friend to set boundaries with him?

I’m a married woman, and we’re part of a server with a group of friends. Most of the group is guys, though some have wives, including me. The wives tend to come and go from the server. While the guys are usually in there.

A new woman, “Crysty,” started hanging out with everyone. At first, I had no problem with her. She claimed we were friends, but I eventually noticed that she seemed much more interested in my husband than in actually being friends with me. I could DM her and get ignored while she would respond to my husband almost immediately. I literally tested this by messaging her while she was messaging my husband and got ignored for days.

The group has a pretty crude sense of humor, and that’s normal for everyone. Crysty joined in with the jokes, but I started noticing that some of the jokes were specifically directed toward my husband and felt more flirtatious than the way she interacted with everyone else.

I noticed that when I hopped in voice, she would go quiet, then leave. She would stay gone until I left, then almost instantly return. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but I also tested this by joining and leaving several times, and she did this every time.

She also started randomly DMing my husband things like, “You look pretty.” She began calling him her best friend, while not having much of a relationship with me, and whenever she had personal drama going on, she would go to him to talk about it.

My (F32) husband (M32) has been acting very rudely towards me because he looks older than I. How do I address this issue and get him to stop?

This is a bit of an odd situation that has brewing for about a month or so. My husband and I are the same age. I look young for my age (I'm not bragging, I'm just aware of this, I've had many people tell me this or assume I'm in my early 20's). My husband doesn't look old, but he does look his age. This is not a bad thing, and it all boils down to genetics as my parents didn't start looking older/getting wrinkles until they were in their 50's. Same with most of my family.

Recently, he has become very passive aggressive due to this fact, and he has even accused me of going behind his back to get surgery or treatments to look younger than him on purpose to make him look bad. We literally had an argument that lasted over 3 days and ended up with him not speaking to me for a full day because he had convinced himself that I was going behind his back to get filler/botox/laser treatments etc.. I have never had any work done at all. I just look like this and he does not like it.

Yesterday his sister came over. She got married about two months ago-ish and came over to show us some of the wedding pictures. AITA for not wanting my friend’s & I children to be siblings?

I (33F) started fertility treatments (IUI) about a year ago to become a mother using a s***m donor. My friend B (33F) found out and was incredibly judgmental, rude and hurtful about the whole thing. Saying things like I wasn’t ready to be a mother, that I should just adopt as what I was doing was selfish, and every time it didn’t work she would just stop by my home (uninvited with no heads up) with her child saying I could “borrow them” to lift my mood because no one likes negativity. Luckily my third try worked, I’m due within a month, but at the same time B got a DUI, lost her job, and her ex and parents got custody as the child was in the car. She lives and has been with her parents so it’s not like she doesn’t see her child. About a week ago B told me she too wanted to do IUI with a s***m donor as her parents have always taken the lead raising her kid and how that she has time (no job, no car) she wants a do over. She then told me that she had written down my donor number and clinic and planned on purchasing vials so our kids could be siblings. I panicked. So when we hung up I bought out my donor (I knew she hadn’t gotten any vials yet). Today she called me crying that the donor was no longer available. AITA for suing stopping my child support and to get it back?

I didn’t know my son was not actually mine until he was about 5 years old and had a medical issue. The results of tests made me suspicious so I had a DNA test done which was when I found out he wasn’t mine. I divorced my ex but because we were married when he was born and the time I had to challenge the paternity had passed, I was on the hook for child support. I was a broken man afterwards and withdrew from all of my friends and family.

After a couple of years, I started meeting people again and eventually found out the ex was in a relationship with the affair partner and living with him. This broke me again so I went back to my isolation. Another year passed and I slowly came back out. It took some time before I could talk about my past but when I was able to, my brothers lit a fire under me. I found out through friends that the ex moved in with the father of the boy almost immediately after our divorce was finalized and they have been together ever since. My brothers pushed me to talk to their attorney friend which I eventually did. He’s a business attorney but listened to my history then gave me his opinion. He then recommended me to his friend in a family law firm.

In short, I paid almost 4 years of child support and according to my attorney, I have a good chance of stopping the child support payments and recovering at least some or possibly...

AITA for embarrassing my classmate in front of everyone and making her cry?

I’m currently studying for a Masters. 2x /week we’re put into groups to put together a presentation based on a problem we are given.

In session 1 we all read the problem together, spitball ideas, talk about what we already know and how it could relate to the problem, and draw up a list of things we don’t know that we need to know to be able to answer the problem.

At the end of session 1 we split up the questions & go away in our own time to do the research required to answer those questions. In session 2 we all feedback to the rest of the group what we have found, so that afterwards everyone has a clear understanding of everything they need to know in order to address the problem.

So at the end of session 1, Barbara volunteers herself to research what is arguably the biggest / most important question.

Some important backstory - last time I was in her group, me and Barbara were assigned a question to do together. I came back with 3 pages of research, referenced properly, summarised and clearly laid out in a table, and linked back to the problem. It took me a couple hours. She had emailed her student tutor and asked him our question, and he had emailed her a guidance sheet that he found online, which was sort of relevant to our question but not really. AITA for taking my mother the people who helped to court?

My father passed away a while back. since I was young he has made the point that me, his only daughter (adoptive) will be the beneficiary to his life insurance policies.

My real mother went to live with him as a caregiver, due to her situation it was quite obvious she was only there for a paycheque and a life free of rent and bills.

Now during the funeral preparations I was searching for potential companies to use, comparing prices etc. I received a phone call from her, an aunt and her husband (also the executor of funeral). Angrily shouting asking me to stand down and that I didn’t know what I was doing. the husband was mentioning that I wouldn’t even know the kind of plane that was required.

They demanded that they needed the money from P1 (£6000) to pay off funeral costs. But refused to show receipts or any payments. Not wanting stress I decided to send £2,500, leaving me with £3,500. They eventually came up with more issues saying that there was a debt with the bank and with the funeral company for me to send to them so they could pay it off however I just ignored it. How can you block me from any plans and preparations but demand the money to pay for it?

AITA for inviting my father in law to my wedding?

I'm getting married this summer and have been with my fiancee for 8 years, my parents died when I was very young and I was bounced around different family members until I was 16. When I met my fiancee's parents her father took me under his wing and was the father I never had. We'd talk a lot, hang out and go fishing/hunting whenever we'd visit her family and has always offered me advice when I needed it. We've grown very close over the year.

3 years ago his wife had an affair and filed for divorce, it was a complete sucker punch to him and broke him. None of his children (3 daughters) chose his side and their mother turned them all against him. He was a hardworking man and as such didn't spend a lot of time at home so it wasn't too difficult for her to convince the children he didn't care about them.

The mother got re-married to the man she had an affair with and my fiancee invited them both. I asked her about inviting her father and she was completely against it. She claims it would cause too many issues and she can't have both of them there as they'll just fight. His other 2 daughters don't speak to him at all and my fiancee doesn't have a close relationship with him. On the other hand we speak at least once a week and have hung out a couple of times a year if he or I are near each other when on business trips.

AITA for refusing an apologie from a kid that used to bully me?

I(13m) got bullied from ages 6 to 9 by a kid(now 15), let's call him A. A bullied a lot of kids. But he bullied me the most. When I was 7 my sister lost the battle with cancer and passed away. Me and my parents were very sad about it, but A decided it was a good reason to bully me even more. He would constantly say that it was my fault my sister passed away and things like that. When I was 9 I got taller, so I wasn't an easy target anymore, and then the bullying stopped.

4 years later when I was with a friend at the train station, I saw A again, and he came up to me, saying that he wanted to apologize about bullying me. I said that I can't forgive someone who bullied me about my sister's death. He then denied the fact that he bullied me about that and asked me why I made it up. My friend said that he shouldn't lie and that everyone from our old class knows that A did that. A then got very mad and shouted at me, saying that he didn't do that and that he was the victim. I then said that he can f off and that I will never forgive him for what he has done. A then ran away, crying of rage and humiliation, since everyone at the train station was looking at him. A's mother scolded me and said that I shouldn't be so harsh and that A can't help it because he has "anger issues"....

AITA for not tipping a to go order?

Yesterday I called in a sushi order to a local rotating sushi bar. 15 minutes after placing my order, I went to the register and was given my total, about $11. The cashier was talkative and seemed to be in a good mood. I handed her my card and she ran it through the machine, it’s one of those touch screen registers and she flipped the screen over for me to sign and choose a tip amount. I’d never heard of tipping a called in order before. I thought tips were meant for servers who waited on your table, took your order, refilled drinks and stuff like that. So without giving it too much thought, I tapped “no tip” and confirmed the order. After I turned the screen around to her side, her good mood all but disappeared. It wasn’t subtle, either, her voice (the few times she did decide to speak now) was flat and unamused. A complete 180 from her mood 10 seconds prior. Should I have tipped the to go order? Does everyone else do that and I’m just an uninformed d__khead?

AITAH for telling my sister her past lies are her own fault as to why her husband might be leaving her?

So my sister... to put it nicely, is very promiscuous, she's slept with most of her guy friends. Now, she recently told me and our other sister and brother that she got in a huge fight with her husband.

See, her husband asked her if she's keeps exes or others like that around, and my sister straight up lied, now, according to my sister, that was a deal breaker for him. Years later, they got married. And her husband found out about it.

Now they are in a huge fight. I told my sister I love her, and hopefully things work out for the best. She told me she can't believe her husband might throw away years of marriage over this.

I told her 'Sis, he told you from the get go, what did you expect would happen? Hoping he never found out was a gamble' My sis got upset, honestly I do kind of regret saying that... I am a bit on the spectrum so this kind of slipped out..
