I do not watch American football (or any football) and I've never heard of this singer but because it's a national anthem performance it landed in my feed.

How much I sympathize with the singer scales with the amount of time that he had to prepare. I feel like 2 weeks is enough time to learn the lyrics to the performed portion of The Star Spangled Banner. But also, I have met humans and know almost exclusively people in the United States.
