Northford and North Branford, Totoket TV needs your help. We have tried for years at the State level to get an important law updated. Specifically, community TV stations like Totoket TV are primarily funded from subscribers of cable TV companies like Comcast Xfinity, based on the number of cable TV subscribers. As you know, lots of people are dumping cable TV for streaming services like Netflix, Prime, etc. Totoket TV does provide programming online on YouTube. As more people drop cable TV, our income shrinks. We have tried at the State level to no avail. Governor Lamont clearly told us he had no interest in helping us. Now, we need your help in order for Totoket TV to survive. If we do not survive, Totoket TV will cease to exist This means no more televised or streamed Town meetings and other programming. Plus, Totoket TV has garnered grants that enabled us to provided over $300,000 in high-definition TV production equipment at Town Hall and Board of Education at Stanley T. Williams and new TV production equipment for students at North Branford High School's Media Program. Other community TV stations are seeking some additional financial support from their municipalities to survive. We are pleading with North Branford Town Council to help. We are looking for an additional $15,000 to $19,000 to make up for our losses due to cable subscribers erosion.
