If you’re already living a well-off life in the Philippines, would you still choose to move to Spain?
By “well-off,” I mean you’re financially comfortable, have a good home, stable income, can afford travel and leisure, have access to good healthcare and education, and generally don’t have to worry much about money.
Would you still trade that life for Spain?
What would make Spain worth the move for you—quality of life, work-life balance, opportunities for your kids, healthcare, citizenship/EU access, travel, safety, or something else?
Or would you rather stay in the Philippines, where your money may go further and you already have your family, friends, and established life?
Which one are you? 👇
🇪🇸 A. I’d move to Spain, get Spanish citizenship/passport when eligible, then eventually go back to the Philippines.
✈️ B. I’d try living in Spain for a year first. If it’s not for me, I’d go back to the Philippines.
🏡 C. I’m already comfortable in the Philippines. I don’t see a strong reason to start over in Spain.
💼 D. I’d move to Spain for better work-life balance and a different lifestyle—even if it means earning less or paying more taxes.
👨👩👧👦 E. I’d move mainly for my children—their education, future opportunities, and access to Europe.
💶 F. I wouldn’t move to Spain because of the taxes and cost of living. I’d rather maximize my income in the Philippines.
🏛️ G. I’d consider leaving because I’m frustrated with corruption/governance in the Philippines, although Spain has its own political and governance issues too.
