Hic&Nunc is not a studio, nor a production company, but a mix of both and even more. We're multidisciplinary professionals in postproduction, animation and graphic design, with wide-ranging and well-established experience in film and advertising direction and production.
We hand-craft our work - we're digital artisans. If we don't know how, we find out, ask or hire. Each project is important, a chance to explore, experiment and learn. We build visual identity. We fix films.
Hic&Nunc is not Low-Cost nor Premium, we deal with real value.
We develop and produce our own projects and other's assignments, working for all sorts of brands and clients, both big or small. We also collaborate in projects for the love of art, for friends and friends of friends, but always with the same values: passion, efficiency and availability.

1980, Barcelona. Biker and recent dad.
After studying directing and production for films, he specialized in motion graphics. Working as a designer and director, he had to become a producer. His grandma calls him "antsy-pants": he's worked for TV channels, production companies, design studios and advertising agencies in several audiovisual projects. His works have been screened in noted film festivals such as San Sebastián, Mar de Plata, Tallin's Dark Nights, FICMA, European Media Art Festival, Barcelona Art Contemporary Festival and he's received awards from Greenpeace, Premios Laus and Mercat Audiovisual de Catalunya.
His last documentary feature, which he directed and produced, premiered at the 63rd San Sebastián Film Festival, 30th Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata and PÖOF 19th Black Nights Film Festival. It had theatrical release in Spain in late 2015, being a candidate for the Goya awards and nominated as best documentary feature at the Gaudi 2016.

1981, Barcelona. Traveller, geek, yogui, supermotard, passionate stubborn and Peter Pan fan.
Graduated in film directing at ESCAC but later specialized in postproduction: Flame* compositing at Ngee Ann polytechnic, Singapore; VFX and 3D in TRAZOS School of Arts, Madrid. He worked the full post (editing, color and effects) of heaps of ads in Madrid for five years, eventually venturing into directing commercials and music videos, compositing for feature films and freelancing in London, El Salvador and L.A.
In 2011 he went back to his hometown to keep working for big companies but with the autonomy of his own company, although two years ago he realized he needed to do film again and joined Alex's feature. Since then he's graded five feature-length films. Nowadays he combines specialized work as a colour grader and compositor with other commercial or personal projects, for which he escapes the darkness of his grading suite to get bathed by the sunlight.

At Hic&Nunc we're a small but very creative bunch. We have no secretary nor interns and we try to avoid formality, but we understand working big projects demands high standards. We work hard and grow adapting to circumstances.
Hic&Nunc is member of the professional associations PRO-DOCS, PROA and FAD.
