“BOUNDARIES”
A healthy workplace begins with understanding and respecting boundaries. Boundaries are the limits that define our roles, responsibilities, stations, and expectations. They help maintain professionalism, promote teamwork, prevent misunderstandings, and create a harmonious working environment.
Respecting boundaries is not the responsibility of only one person or one group—it is the responsibility of everyone. It is a two-way street. Every employee deserves the same respect, and every employee is expected to give that same respect in return. Boundaries cannot exist if only one side observes them while the other “IGNORES” them.
❗️Having the same position means respecting each other’s SPACE and duties❗️. Guidance, support, and teamwork are always welcome, but 👎REPEATEDLY👎 acting as a supervisor or “AUTHORITY” figure over colleagues of EQUAL RANK can create tension, resentment, and confusion.
❗️We should focus on performing our own responsibilities well while allowing others to do the same❗️
True professionalism is not measured by how much authority we try to display, but by how well we respect others, fulfill our own duties, and work together as EQUALS REGARLESS OF????? TO CITE A FEW INCLUDES:
•GENDER/age
•RACE
•DEMOGRAPHY
•RELIGION/BELIEFS
•CAPACITY
•INDIVIDUAL CIRCUMSTANCE
How about let us meet in the middle, communicate respectfully, stay within our proper roles, and practice fairness without favoritism. When boundaries are respected by everyone, trust grows, relationships improve, and the workplace becomes better for all.
