A few sunny impressions from one of my recent private cocktail workshops on the Costa Blanca ☀️🍸

This one had everything I like: a beautiful outdoor bar, lovely guests, good conversations, proper drinks — and a dog keeping an eye on quality control.

My cocktail workshops are relaxed, fun and made for people who want to learn a little, drink well, and enjoy something different with friends, family or colleagues.

Some brewery visits are nice. Others stay with you.

A brewery visit that truly stayed with me: Triggerfish Brewing in Strand 🍻

What I found there was not only excellent craft beer, but also a warm welcome, a great story, real hands-on brewing spirit, and a tasting with Francois that made the whole visit feel very special.

These are exactly the kind of places I love to discover and feature on my blog — authentic, local, passionate, and full of character.

Great beer, great people, and a brewery visit that was absolutely worth it.

During our time in Cape Town, we visited Jack Black Beer and got a closer look at one of the Western Cape’s best-known craft beer brands — including a tasting with brewmaster Anthony de Beer, insights into the brewing process, and of course a few proper highlights from the taproom.

A big thank you again to the Jack Black team for the warm welcome and the great experience 🍻

CAPE TOWN HIDDEN GEM ALERT 🍻🇿🇦
We just visited Afro Caribbean Brewing Company (ACBC) — tucked above the legendary Banana Jam Café in Kenilworth — and wow… this place truly resets your craft beer standards.

Amazing hospitality, a tap list that makes choosing the hardest part of the visit, and beers that are dangerously drinkable (Hati Hati Session IPA… I’m looking at you 😅). Add Caribbean comfort food that pairs perfectly with the pints and you’ve got a new must-visit spot.
