💫 Oh hello dear Ocean Lovers! 💙

Long time no see! We have been missing you all. What are you up to?
We have big news!! Keep reading! 😉
I thought I would give you a quick update on what the heck we are doing.
Some might have wondered, if we got lost a sea. Others are just happy to NOT have to look at those amazing Bahamian waters in our posts all week! 😂
Wo here it goes:

🇧🇸 We left Koru in Virginia for summer and went up to Canada to meet up with some friends. (no surprise there so far. You can tell by our latest posts) The pan was to enjoy another season of the most amazing cruising grounds we have been to so far. The Bahamas. But as usual, plans change, interests shift and new dreams are being dreamed.

🇪🇸 We have decided to spend this winter in the Med. For the first time in 5 years we leave boatlife for over 7 months! Our feelings are mixed. On one hand we are so looking forward to be spending time in the Mediterranean and work on our online businesses, and on the other hand we miss Koru and boatlife already very much. From where we live for winter, we can see the Mediterranean sea and count every little sailboat that sails past our little bay here in Altea, Spain.

🇪🇺 So what will the future bring for us? We were so happy to cross the Atlantic in 2022 to make our big dream of sailing across to the Caribbean come true. So we thought what is better than one ocean crossing? Exactly, two ocean crossings! ⛵️💪🏼

Come summer 2024 we will be back in the Mediterranean sea! With everything thats going on in the world and prices skyrocketing in the Americas we thought we would spend another couple of years here in the Med. We missed the winter communities and eating out in a nice little beach restaurant without hammering through our budget in one night! 😂 Budget beside, we are so looking forward to be back in the Med for a little bit. So if you sail past Altea within the next few months, wave!!! We will be watching you go by. 💙

Landventure! Coconut Mission! 🥥

Living on a boat doesn't always mean sailing, sailing, sailing. Cruisers are spending about 80% of their time at anchor, close to a beach or at least a little spit of land. 🏝️

⚓️ We are always super excited to go and explore ashore after dropping the hook. This island had a special treat in store for us! We don't usually see a lot of tall trees here in the Exumas, but this Island had the biggest and fullest coconut trees we have seen so far. 🥥

🏝️ It usually goes like this:
Rea: That one looks good!
Me: Okay I'll get it.
Rea: Okay that's enough.
Me: Nope, that one over there looks good too. And the one over there and that one and this one!!!!
Rea: She left the scene to look at colorful Conch shells on the beach! 😂😂

We are a great team! hehe. Unfortunately, we didn't get the picture of Rea climbing on my shoulders to reach a couple of coconuts! 😂

The best thing about our multihulls is the shallow draft!! ⛵️⛵️
However, there are limits!! 😄

we found this super cute little inlet at Staniel Cay. Perfect to wander around after 2 weeks on the boat.

LAND HOOOO! 🇧🇸🌴

I often tell people, that we are sailing to get from A to B. We love being on the ocean, but primarily see our boat as a vehicle to get to places we usually couldn't get to. The Exumas are one of these places. We sailed through here on our way north earlier this year and loved it so much that we decided to come back here.
This is just the first in many spots. is one of the most convenient stops when coming over from Nassau or like us directly from Bimini.
Any tips from Exumas pros? What are the must-sees here?

We are „stranded“ in Bimini due to some weather coming our way.
May you all have a wonderful time with your families and friends!
And to all the sailors out there, we are thinking of you. Beeing on the move all the time cam feel a bit lonely sometimes, especially this time of the year! We all in the same boat! 🤗🤗

Travel on a sailboat. ⛵️

Honestly, who wouldn’t want to experience the peace and calm on a sailboat that is slowly drifting into the night in the middle of the ocean? 😍

Our trip along the US east coast down to Florida was rough, calm, exciting and incredibly beautiful!
We are so grateful to be able to experience this first hand! 💙

Oh hello summer!! ☀️

I didn't think we would get sunburned after the past few days of shivering under our blankets! 😅
the sun is back and is roasting the crew! Fleur () and I () clearly forgot to apply some sunscreen! Big shout out to the guys at . took percussion and applied some of their environment-friendly sunscreen! We promise to do that too from here on out! ☺️

What do you all use for protection from the sun?

As environmental-aware sailors, we don't like to use the regular stuff. But being out in the sun 24/7 requires a sustainable solution. ☀️😎

Throwback to the start of our heroes journey! ⛵️⛵️🚀🚀

October 2018 -- We just bought Koru and where back in Switzerland wrapping up our land-based life. I remember how excited we were to start a brand new chapter in our life. It was amazing, a bit scary but we felt like we can conquer the world on our new home Koru. This is a little reminder to everyone who is dreaming of a life on the water. GO FOR IT! Rid your life of the Naysayers and get it in your head, that YOU can do this. Some will be on bigger, others on a smaller boats. But in the end we are all greasing our winches the same way and most importantly in a beautiful anchorage somewhere in the world.
