Jack and Simcha Gilbert

Jack and Simcha Gilbert Jack & Simcha are missionaries with SEND International. They have a heart for discipleship and evangelism. Hello from the Gilbert family!

Learn more and partner with us by visiting bit.ly/GilbertsInSpain. You can partner with us by visiting www.send.org/jsgilbert. We are missionaries with SEND International. We love sharing the Gospel, training and equipping the Body of Christ, and the fellowship of the saints. Right now we are training for and gathering support and partnership for the work God has called us to do in Spain. We want

to spread the Gospel, plant evangelical churches, and create a discipleship network in those churches that grows self-initiating, replicating, fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. Jack recently graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He received his ordination as a Minister of the Gospel from First Central Bible Church (Chicopee, MA) and Converge Northeast. He currently serves as Minister of Adult Education and Outreach at First Central Bible Church. Simcha teaches high school math in Springfield, MA, which she see as an opportunity to minister to the youth of the city. We have two children, Joshua and Abi, who both look forward to traveling with us as we begin our ministry with SEND. Please like and share our page so that you can follow our journey as we prepare for the work that God has called us to in Christ Jesus. If you would like to partner with us feel free to contact us; we would love to talk with you about the various ways we can work together. Twitter: https://twitter.com/jackandsim

A church humbled by grace, united in Christ, worshiping God, & serving one another.
Romans is not only concerned with whether the church can explain the gospel clearly. It is concerned with whether the church is being formed by the gospel deeply enough to bear witness faithfully. A divided, proud, legalistic, licentious, or self-centered church will eventually distort the message it claims to proclaim.

But a church humbled by grace, united in Christ, worshiping God, serving one another, and guarding the gospel without adding to it or subtracting from it becomes a living witness to the righteousness of God revealed in Christ. Romans shows us that the gospel does not merely give the church a message to proclaim; it creates a gospel-shaped community that proclaims Christ in humble dependence on the grace of God.

God willing, the corner of this building will be the new Building for our growing church, complete with a license to practice religious services, something required and important to have here if we are going to continue ministry here.

If you are interested in helping us make a lasting impact here in Spain, consider donating toward the purchase of this new space. We are praying for 40 individuals, families, or churches that can give $1000. That, along with our church’s own giving and what we have received so far will secure the building!

God is doing amazing things here through people like you. Let’s take the next step together!

Send us a message if you are interested in partnering with us.

Paul was an example to others in prayer. But how? Prayer was not how he began or ended a time of ministry. It was the base of his ministry. Of his life with God.

Paul’s prayer life is an example to us, not because he is strong, but because he is weak and can see it.

He built a life based on his own strength as a Pharisee and in the end realized it wasn’t enough. He needed Christ.

He has joy because he spends time with God.

He can learn patience only because the Lord reveals to him his own need for grace and growth.

He is grateful because he is needy and has a gracious and generous God who invites him into his presence.

Paul’s example isn’t “be strong like me” it’s “come to the one who is strong and be made whole.”
