I always think the best time to deal with pigmentation is after summer.

Months of sun exposure can make both sun spots and hormonal pigmentation, like melasma, look darker and more stubborn. Waiting until autumn means there's less UV exposure, which makes it a much better time to start laser treatments and protect your results.

One treatment I've seen used for pigmentation is PicoSure® laser, which works by breaking up excess pigment with ultra-short laser pulses while encouraging the skin's natural renewal process. Of course, not every type of pigmentation is the same, so having your skin assessed first is really important.

If you're considering treatment, I'd recommend speaking with Dr. Pratish at City Medi Spa, London, to find out whether PicoSure is the right option for your skin.
