Forever grateful that I picked him, and he picked me back ❤️

I love that I convinced him to live in a van with me & such a big part of me could honestly keep living like this for years

But after a decade of travelling, living in Spain & moving back to London, we’re also at a point that we’re ready to start putting roots down, give Albi a garden to run around in, reunite with our baby girl Tabitha & who knows what else in the future..

We spent last night in a villa while waiting for my friends to arrive for retreat & it was a beautiful reminder of the life we’re creating together

And these last couple weeks, we’ve been scheming & looking at where we want to land & call home

My mini day retreat in September - Root & Receive - will be my LAST space in London for the foreseeable, because my soul home is calling me back ☀️

Today marks 10 YEARS next to my best friend, my ride or die, mi media naranja 🍊

As if an entire decade has passed since I walked into that pub in Chelsea for a trial shift & saw this cocky Spanish guy chopping limes behind the bar

(still can’t smell limes or mint without thinking of him)

We didn’t speak the same language, but it didn’t matter - we found a way to make it work & now we’re both bilingual (shout out to google translate for being our much needed 3rd wheel)

This tiny 60 second video literally doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the 315,576,000 seconds we’ve lived together 🥹

Countless stories written
So many adventures & countries travelled
More homes than I can be bothered to count
2 pets, a campervan & everything that is still to come

Our journey hasn’t been smooth (very far from it), and we’ve had to hold each other through some of the hardest, most chaotic, most painful seasons of our lives

But we’ve also lived the wildest, silliest, most amazing, joyful years together that I wouldn’t change for anything in the world

If I had to choose just 3 things our relationship has taught me..

This past week I’ve had lot of things on my mind.. a lot of hurt and so many thoughts & feelings bringing me down

I even started to feel like I was losing my connection with Mama Cacao, because in carrying so much negative energy, I couldn’t seem to tune into her love

This morning, I looked over my last few journal entries & realised how I had been focusing so much on the bad.. and we all know we are magnets, forever attracting more of what we focus on

And then, I looked up

I took a moment to really look around, notice where I am & what my Monday morning actually looks like.. and it hit me that I really haven’t been feeling grateful for where I’m at

In that moment, Mama Cacao started speaking to me & showing me so much that is to come

A yellow butterfly (my good omen) flew right past me

And my heart suddenly felt so full, and grateful for the life that I’m living & the life that I’m creating

A little reminder to myself, and to anyone that needs it, that gratitude is always the way 🌷🧲✨
