On this day we had boarded the flight like every other person, it was a 6am flight and we were to land in Madrid at 9:25am, at about 7am the flight started misbehaving 😩at first I was calm because turbulence is very normal with flights but it got serious, to make matters worst Sonma started crying because she was not comfortable enough to sleep,
I took her from her seat and carried her on my body then one of the air hostess staggered towards me(staggered because the flight was not stable) then she said "please you can't have the baby on your laps, there's a heavy turbulence and we won't be responsible for whatever happens to her.
Me looking flabbergasted, the African wife and mother in me immediately rejected the "whatever happens" because nothing will happen😂😂😂
This air hostess people cannot even give somebody hope because why are you telling me wey pack my family enter una flight say if anything happens?
But then I had to strap sonma back to her seat and she continued crying, I saw my husband who was in the seat in front me checking the time, I just burst out laughing 🤣🤣🤣
My husband is aerophobic on a normal day then adding this wicked turbulence to it🤣🤣🤣i felt like reaching out to him to calm him down but we were asked not to stand up because the plane was using us to play ten ten.
The turbulence continued and the flight kept flying up up into the skies, then I became scared........I wondered, what if something happens to us? What if the plane crashed?
I muttered a prayer " God into your hands i commit my family, I know your thought for us is not a thought of evil but of good to bring us to our expected end and dying in a plane crash is not that thought"
After this prayer, peace and calm came back to my spirit and within 10mins the turbulence was over and in another 35mins we landed safely in Madrid. Safe to say this turbulence lasted up to 2hours!
I just remembered this story and thought to gist you people. There is God and he is ever willing and readily available to listen only if you seek him
