Despărtirea de Artan

Am aflat despre Artan in dupā-masa zilei de marti; în seara aceleiasi zile am vorbit la telefon cu Rāzvan, nevenindu-mi sā cred.

Mā asteptam sā treacā totul repede si sā uit; in schimb, am constatat cā m-a afectat mai mult decît credeam, in ciuda faptului ca acum un an nici nu prea stiam de ei.
Prin octombrie 2024 – m-am trezit cu un telefon de la un tip care s-a prezentat ca fiind Razvan Moldovan, care mā suna la recomandarea unui prieten comun- Doru Apreotesei. Razvan mi-a spus ca e parte din grupul Partizan, cā fac un album sub Electrecord, cā au nevoie de mixaj si masterizare, cā initial au fost trimisi sā faca mixajul la un studio in Germania si cā nu le place, si m-a rugat dacā pot sa mixez un cintec de probā, si dacā le place, vor spune Electrecordului sā imi dea contractul. Bineînteles cā am acceptat, si am primit tracurile de la Cālāretul Otelit. Nu eram familiar cu Partizan, si nu stiam prea multe de Timpuri noi, îi ascultasem destul de putin înainte de ‘90 si apoi am plecat in Canada, si nu prea am mai fost la curent cu ce se întîmpla muzical in Romania. Am inceput sā aflu ceva mai multe din 2023, de cînd m-am mutat din Canada – cu tot cu studio- in Spania.

Sonoritatea cîntecului era mult prea diferitā de sunetul cu care eram obisnuit din Romania; crescut in Timisoara, la umbra celor ce ne-au dat nume, eram usor refractar la trupele din Bucuresti (Imi placea mult Aldea si Chifiriuc si Andries, dar trupele nu erau pe gustul meu). Apoi a mai fost ceva: bānātenii nu erau indragostiti de Bucuresti, desi āsta nu era cazul meu. Imi placea sā mā duc cite o saptamina sau doua in fiecare an, stateam de obicei la acelasi hotel numit Palas – pe c**t linga Teatrul Mic- , si mergeam cit puteam la teatre, citisem prea multe cārti cu imaginea Bucurestiului de dinainte de ’44, cāutam urmele reale ale pasilor facuti prin cartile lui Stahl, Petrescu, Cālinescu, Drumes, Brasoveanu... era o lume idilicā, imi imaginam cā era chintesenta. Apoi, d**a ce am terminat facultatea am fost de citeva ori in Bucuresti, de data aceasta am stat la sora lui soacrā-mea in Titan, la vreo douazeci de minute de statia metroului; descopeream o alta lume, realā de data asta. Si lumea aia a nāvālit in studioul meu prin Calaretul Otelit! Din fericire bāietilor le-a plācut ce am fācut, destul si bine ca pinā prin martie am lucrat la mixajul si apoi masterizarea albumului “Nori peste Sālājan”. A fost unul din proiectele in care am pus tot sufletul, fiecare cintec era o bucurie nouā. Era o bucurie si felul în care lucram, bāietii folosiserā synturi analoge din plin, erau deschisi cit se poate sā explorām solutii indrāznete, si am avut o comunicare superbā. In plus, era ceva atît de crud si real in tracurile vocale a lui Artan; initial l-am intrebat pe Razvan unde au tras, pentru ca desi crude, calitatea nu era cea mai bunā. El mi-a explicat ca cu Artan era ceva diferit, el intra in formā si atunci inregistrau cu ce gāseau la ei. El nu se simtea bine intr-o camera izolata de inregistrari vocale, nu putea face performantā vocalā acolo. Si bine au fācut ce au facut: calitatea e intotdeauna secundarā performantei!

Citeva luni mai tîrziu, in Mai anul acesta, i-am si cunoscut personal. M-am dus la Bucuresti la lansarea discului facutā la un club tot de pe lîngā Teatrul Mic, cred cā ii zice “Control”. Am ajuns cu o zi inainte, si m-am dus la ultima lor repetitie inainte de show. Si in sfirsit acolo i-am cunoscut pe Artan, Adrian si Andrei- cu Razvan ajunsesem sa mā intîlnesc dinainte. Am fost cu ei vreo douā-trei ore. La un moment dat, in timp ce fāceau niste potriveli instrumentale, Artan s-a asezat lîngā mine, si, din vorbā in vorbā, mā intreabā: “Zici cā ai fost prin Titan, ce crezi cā se intimplā acolo?” La care, sincer, ii spun cā nu prea multe. Si el zice: “Exact! Si de aia sîntem aici!”

Cuvintele lui mā urmāresc tot timpul. Am realizat cā dincolo de scenā, de sunete, exista o trupā care va rāmîne actualā sub orice regim, indiferent de modā si curente. Si clar împotriva oricārui regim pentru ca ceva sā se intîmple in Titan, un loc al oamenilor obisnuiti pe care nici un regim nu ii bagā in seamā. Dintr-odatā Bucurestiul meu a devenit Bucurestiul celor din Titan... si invers.

Nu imi imaginez nici o clipā cā Artan poate fi inlocuit, dar imi imaginez cā Partizan va duce mai departe fāclia, chiar si pentru cei putini din Salajan sau Titan. Cred cā Artan ar vrea asta. De fapt sînt convins. Si le-o doresc din toatā inima.

Deci, cm zice Rāzvan, hai, tinem aproape! Drum bun spre luminā Artan.
