After 3 days exploring it, we can say Zhangjiajie was honestly our favorite part from our month in China. Glass bridge, cable cars, an elevator up a cliffside, and 999 stairs (!!) up to Tianmen Cave.. and you’re coming with us for all of it.

If you already watched the video - what was your favorite part? Honestly, I think that beam of light moment at Tianmen Cave was pretty incredible. But also some of those incredibly tall and skinny pillars were just mindboggling like how are those things still standing?!!

China was honestly one of the countries I was most looking forward to on our world trip. It didnt disappoint BUT it also came with the biggest learning curve out of any of the 17 countries we had visited so far on the trip..

We arrived in Guangzhou and pretty much everything went wrong.. the apps we downloaded didn’t work, we struggled to figure out the metro, how to order food, and how to even pay for anything lol. it was chaotic and honestly stressful. but also, everyone was SO nice and patient with us considering we don’t speak any Chinese. Eventually we figured things out, and Guangzhou was one of the most impressive cities we've been to so far! 🥹

I've literally wanted to go to Egypt my entire life (blame the Mummy movies lol), so of course we planned to stop there during our world trip! but everything we saw online basically said the same thing: it’s too chaotic, everyone is out to scam you, you can’t do it without a guide - don’t even bother going. we almost decided not to go, but powered on because damn it I really wanted to go to Egypt. so we went, nervous and prepared for the worst.

And? Yes it's chaotic, but that’s part of the fun. Yes there are people calling out to sell you stuff at the tourist sites, but it's not even close to as bad as people make it out to be. We honestly ended up loving it!!

Has anyone else here been to Egypt? curious what your experience was like (good or bad)
