Filming offshore gives me the opportunity to document some of the most innovative projects in the energy sector.

A while ago, I produced a corporate video for Shearwater GeoServices and its client Eni UK onboard the SW Amundsen during a seismic survey for the Bacton Thames Net Zero initiative. The project aims to support the long-term storage of carbon dioxide in the depleted Hewett gas field off the coast of East Anglia, helping to advance the UK's carbon capture and storage ambitions.

Here are a few highlights from this fascinating offshore operation.

A few select moments captured onboard the SW Tasman during our shoot for Shearwater GeoServices off the coast of Norway, where the vessel was conducting a seismic survey for carbon capture and storage.

Fresh from refit, the SW Tasman is the world’s first commercial multi-technology geophysical, dual-ROV seismic multipurpose vessel operating with ocean bottom nodes and source.

Last year I had the opportunity to film for TGS on board their outstanding seismic research vessel, Ramform Atlas. Even in the challenging North Sea conditions in April, I captured powerful visuals of the vessel and the highly professional crew who keep operations running flawlessly.

A couple of years back I was on board the seismic vessel SW Bly off the coast of North Cumbria, filming the crew at work for Shearwater GeoServices.
Here are a few highlights from that trip — daily operations, life on deck, and the teamwork that keeps everything moving offshore.
Big thanks to the Bly crew for the welcome and for making the shoot easy. Always great to work with offshore teams who know their job and get things done.

Spectacular drone flight through the SW Tasman refit.
Two years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to document the full transformation of the Shearwater Tasman as it became the world’s first commercial multi-technology geophysical vessel — equipped with dual ROV capability, streamers, ocean-bottom nodes and seismic source.
I covered the entire refit from start to finish and later filmed its first deployment in the Norwegian Sea.
In this video, you’ll see a stunning drone flight by Offshore Videos, captured while the vessel was undergoing its refit in Frederikshavn — a rare look inside a major rebuild in progress.
