Sometimes a quiz night is more than just questions and answers.
Sometimes it’s a room full of people deciding that, for one evening at least, kindness matters more than the headlines.
On Thursday 11th June I’ll be hosting a special Charity Quiz Evening at Kawana, Jávea in aid of Cultura Contra Balas — a local charity helping women and children find some relief, safety and support from the horrors of war.
There’ll be laughs, music, friendly rivalry, probably a few controversial answer sheets… and afterwards we’ll turn the lights down a little and have a proper boogie together.
If you’ve ever been to one of my quizzes, you already know: It’s not University Challenge. It’s entertainment. It’s teamwork. It’s shouting answers at your mates with absolute confidence… and then finding out you were spectacularly wrong.
But this night carries a little more meaning.
The Costa Blanca has a brilliant charity community, and every organisation fights hard for support, attention and fundraising. So if you can come along, bring a team, share the poster, or simply spread the word, it genuinely helps.
Maximum 6 per team. 12€ including food. Good people. Good fun. And hopefully a very full room for a very good cause.
Let’s raise some money, raise the roof, and maybe even raise a dancefloor afterwards.
