😢😢😢so much plastic on the beach today. I will have to take binbags again because after summer the council removes all the bins again. (Not the smartest thing to do if you want people to help keep your beaches clean... and next i found a plastic bag. Check out the ironical text on it...

I love oktober. I love my morningwalks with Tommie and Whisky. We walk slow. We take our time. There's no hurry. Breath in breath out. The waves come rolling in gently, kissing our feet. We are so lucky.

The European Commission has opened a public consultation this summer to ask whether EU environmental laws should be ‘simplified’. What seems like an innocent proposal is actually an attempt to weaken the rules that protect our biodiversity, our health and our future.

If this rollback goes ahead, we would lose essential tools to stop the destruction of nature, pollution and climate change. We cannot allow this to happen.

Yesterday i witnessed this and the images continue to haunt me.
Four truly beautiful partridges kept in tiny cages, without any freedom of movement. One of them endlessly trying to stretch its wings – a heartbreaking and desperate sight. These birds are used purely as live bait, as “decoys” in hunting. This is legal in Andalucia. This is considered Cultural Heritage.

Let me be clear: I have absolutely nothing against hunting traditions in general. But no tradition can justify keeping animals without freedom, reduced to mere living tools.

I share this sad video because I think this is unacceptable. Birds belong in the wild, free to live and fly, not locked in cages to serve as bait.

Please share if you believe animal welfare should always come before tradition.

Durante mi estancia en Andalucía presencié algo que me rompió el corazón.
Cuatro perdices realmente hermosas estaban encerradas en jaulas diminutas, sin ninguna libertad de movimiento. Una de ellas intentaba sin cesar extender sus alas – una imagen desesperada y desgarradora. Estas aves se utilizan únicamente como cebo vivo, como “reclamo” en la caza. Esto es legal en Andalucía. Se considera patrimonio cultural.

Quiero dejarlo claro: no tengo absolutamente nada en contra de la tradición cinegética en sí. Pero ninguna tradición puede justificar mantener animales sin libertad, reducidos a simples herramientas vivas.

Comparto estas imágenes porque creo que esto no es aceptable... Aves deben vivir libres en la naturaleza, no encerradas en jaulas para servir de cebo.
