(esp) Emocionado aún por la noche vivida ayer, muy feliz de compartir que he sido ganador en los InterContinental Music Awards 2025, en representación del continente Europa en la categoría Nordic Folk, con la canción “Oyannah”. La ceremonia, celebrada de forma online, fue una experiencia emocionante y muy especial. Los premios tienen su sede en Los Ángeles.
Quiero agradecer especialmente a Clara Sorace, cuya voz maravillosa hizo posible este sueño. También al equipo de InterContinental Music Awards por el trato recibido, y felicitar a todos los ganadores y nominados: fue un lujo compartir esta edición con músicos de tantísimos rincones del mundo. Dato curioso: en esta 13.ª edición participaron artistas de 68 países distintos. Y yo, siempre que puedo, me gusta escoger el 13, porque me da suerte. Gracias infinitas a todos los que me acompañáis en este camino.
(eng) Still thrilled from the night experienced yesterday, very happy to share that I’ve been a winner at the 2025 InterContinental Music Awards, representing the continent of Europe in the Nordic Folk category, with the song “Oyannah.” The ceremony, held online, was an exciting and very special experience. The awards are based in Los Angeles. I want to give a special thanks to Clara Sorace, whose wonderful voice made this dream possible. Also, to the InterContinental Music Awards team for the support received, and congratulations to all winners and nominees: it was an honor to share this edition with musicians from so many corners of the world. Fun fact: in this 13th edition, artists from 68 different countries participated. And I, whenever I can, like to choose the number 13, because it brings me luck. Endless thanks to everyone who walks this musical path with me.

(Esp) Jam session totalmente improvisada junto a mi amigo Andreu Machuca de .kirtan, en la tarde del pasado 19 de agosto. Comenzamos marcando la claqueta a 100 bpm y, sin guion alguno, dejamos que un handpan a cuatro manos guiara los primeros pasos. Desde ahí, la música fue fluyendo de manera orgánica, incorporando distintos instrumentos y construyendo poco a poco un viaje sonoro desde aquella primera toma. Esperemos que disfrutéis de este pequeño paseo por el desierto tanto como nosotros al crearlo.
(Eng) A completely improvised jam session together with my friend Andreu Machuca from .kirtan, on the afternoon of August 19th. We began by setting the click at 100 bpm and, with no script at all, let a four-hands handpan guide the very first steps. From there, the music started to flow organically, bringing in different instruments and gradually shaping a sonic journey from that initial take.We hope you enjoy this little walk through the desert as much as we did while creating it.

What secrets lie beneath the Moonlight Sea?
Three months ago, while playing the video game "South of Midnight", I was deeply moved by a song in one of its final chapters. That song was "Life Is a Fight to Be Won", performed by the amazing in instagram. The emotion it stirred in me led to something new — a fresh, catchy, summery composition with gentle reggae rhythms, Caribbean touches, and a World music heart wrapped in pop essence. I invited Stephanie to board this metaphorical sailboat, and she joyfully accepted, giving voice to Moonlight Sea. I’m truly grateful she chose to join me on this journey. Now available on rogersubirana.bandcamp.com and all major digital platforms.
¿Qué secretos guarda el mar bajo la luz de la luna?
Hace tres meses, mientras jugaba al videojuego "South of Midnight", una canción que sonaba en uno de sus tramos finales me conmovió profundamente. Al buscar a la voz que la interpretaba, descubrí a la maravillosa , intérprete del tema Life Is a "Fight to Be Won".
Aquella emoción me inspiró a componer algo distinto a lo habitual: una pieza fresca, pegadiza, veraniega, con suaves ritmos reggae, matices caribeños y alma de World music envuelta en esencia pop. Le propuse a Stephanie subir a este velero metafórico y, con entusiasmo, aceptó dar voz a Moonlight Sea. Estoy profundamente agradecido de que decidiera acompañarme en este viaje. (Esp) Hoy os invito a conocer el proceso creativo detrás de Anahata, una canción muy especial para mí. Habla del corazón y de lo que pasa cuando nos protegemos del dolor. Para expresarlo, usé música, danza y una historia visual que os hará sentir y reflexionar. El video muestra una transformación que refleja un viaje interior que todos conocemos, pero que cada uno vive a su manera. Me inspiré en la naturaleza cíclica de la vida y en sonidos que evocan movimiento constante para acompañar esta experiencia. Os invito a descubrirla y a dejaros llevar por lo que el corazón quiere contar. Gracias por acompañarme en este viaje.
(Eng) Today, I invite you to explore the creative process behind Anahata, a song very special to me. It talks about the heart and what happens when we protect ourselves from pain. To express this, I used music, dance, and a visual story that will make you feel and reflect. The video shows a transformation that reflects an inner journey we all know, but experience in our own way. I was inspired by the cyclical nature of life and sounds that evoke constant movement to accompany this experience. (Esp) Después de varios meses de trabajo, me hace mucha ilusión compartir con vosotros Watchers of Time. Hoy os presento esta obra con una premiere especial que incluye tanto el "making of" como la composición completa. Inspirado en la película A Ghost Story (2017), dirigida por David Lowery, este videoclip adopta una estética minimalista y melancólica para reflexionar sobre la eternidad, la memoria y el inexorable paso del tiempo. Cada sonido y cada imagen han sido meticulosamente sincronizados para sumergiros en un viaje sensorial, con algunos efectos binaurales que amplifican la experiencia. Ya está disponible en mi página de Bandcamp (rogersubirana.bandcamp.com) y, a partir de la próxima semana, en todas las plataformas digitales. Os invito a vivir esta experiencia y a dejaros llevar por su historia. ¿Qué emociones despierta en vosotros? ¿Os genera lo mismo que a mí, o habéis imaginado una historia completamente distinta?
(Eng) After some months of work, I’m excited to share Watchers of Time with you. Today, I’m presenting this work with a special premiere that includes both the "making of" and the full composition. Inspired by the film A Ghost Story (2017), directed by David Lowery, this music video adopts a minimalist and melancholic aesthetic to reflect on eternity, memory, and the inevitable passage of time. Every sound and every image has been meticulously synchronized to immerse you in a sensory journey, enhanced by some binaural effects. It’s available now on my Bandcamp page (rogersubirana.bandcamp.com) and will be available on all digital platforms starting next week.
