In mineral exploration, a field professional must be able to adjust to the various conditions they encounter. each environment presents its own set of challenges, such as climate, terrain, or limited resources. The ability to adapt is crucial for making the right decisions, staying safe, and ensuring the mission is successful. By honing this skill, an explorer can improve their efficiency and make the most of each situation, no matter the obstacles.

Sand dunes are deposition of sand particles by the movement of wind.

When the wind blows on a land, exposed sand surface, sand particles move in the air, as the wind loses its energy and changes direction, sand particles deposits to form a small ridges. over time these ridges expand to form .
These sand particles flow from the mesozoic "Ambaradom" sandstone occurred at "Hareque" village towards the flat land of "Adeba" village. East-West blowing of wind

Sinistral Strike slip Fault centered at Antalion Fault resulted Devastated Earthquakes in Turkey and Syria Border and Surroundings.

What has happened in Turkey and Syria border? Here is a short summary of it!

In Broad Geological sense, Turkey and Syria are in two different plates ( Antalion and Arabian plates) separated by a Fault called Antalion Fault (See the first Picture).

On Early February 2023, lateral movement (Sinistral strike slip fault) of the two plates was happened and followed by devastated Earthquakes centred at the Fault Zone which is at Antalion Fault, this means Antalion plate moved laterally to the left compare to Arabian Plate (See the first picture) and this movement caused a devastated Earthquakes. following the Earthquakes, more destruction happens at the Fault zone (at the contact of the plates) which means at the border of Turkey and Syria, and The scale of the Earth quakes and destruction decrease towards East (Beirut and other Middle East countries) and towards West (Europe).

Second picture shows and supports sinistral strike slip movement of the Plates and happened at the East-West going Asphalted.

Third picture shows how the city Buildings within the fault zone (Centre of the movement amd the Earthquakes) destructed fully.

I and an Ethiopian Economic Geologist Ebrahi Nesro, were exploring pink granite for dimension stone in North Ethiopia. While passing through the granite around the periphery, we saw blow of Quartz vein and we say let us smash the Quartz and we smashed it! Our hammer is a smasher and we found gold, chalcopyrite, pyrite (false gold).
if you are a Geologist, see the mineralisation on the second picture.
You may ask what is false gold, what is chalcopyrite, Inbox us for further explanations. Wish good day!

Granite, The Stone With a Diversity of Uses. People have used granite for thousands of years. ...Granite is used in buildings, bridges, paving, monuments, and many other exterior projects. Indoors, polished granite slabs and tiles are used in countertops, tile floors, stair treads and many other design elements.

technically, what is granite!?
Granite is an igneous rock made up of primarily quartz, feldspar, micas, amphiboles, and a mixture of additional trace minerals. These minerals and their variation in abundance and alteration give granite the numerous colors and textures we see in granite countertops.

Granite is one of the most durable, strong and beautiful material to be used as a building material. Granite is one of the hardest dimensional stone. In many parts of Tigray, Granite is used as building stone. Tigray granite has great durability and strength. Huruy Teklu

What are pillow basalts and Where does pillow basalt form?

Pillow basalts are a volcanic igneous rocks that form when lava of basaltic compositionis erupted underwater. The rapid cooling of the lava by cold water on all sides forms the pillow-shaped bodies, which can then break open and extrude more of the hot lava from inside. The rapid cooling also creates pillows that are composed of volcanic glass on the outside and that have very tiny, almost invisible crystals on the interior. Pillow basalt typically forms at volcanoes at mid-ocean ridges or at oceanic hot-spot volcanoes.
