Genesis 1–3

* God created the heavens, earth, animals, and humanity.
* God created Adam, the first man, from the dust.
* God created Eve, the first woman, as Adam’s companion.
* They lived in the Garden of Eden and could eat from every tree except one.
* The serpent deceived Eve. She ate the forbidden fruit and gave some to Adam, who also ate.
* They disobeyed God, and sin and death entered the human story.
* God sent them out of Eden, but He still cared for them.
* Adam and Eve later had children, including Cain and Abel.
