Positive Peace Ethiopia (PPE), in partnership with Life & Peace Institute and with the support of Embassy of Sweden, Addis Ababa, is excited to open applications for the 𝗛𝗮𝗾𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶 Factchecking Fellowship – 𝗝𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁.

This fellowship is designed for 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, and c𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 in and around Jimma who want to strengthen their skills in fact-checking, misinformation response, media ethics, and responsible digital engagement.
Through practical training, mentorship, and hands-on assignments, selected fellows will learn how to identify harmful rumors, verify information, respond responsibly to misinformation, and contribute to stronger social cohesion in their communities.

After three successful cohorts, we are excited to open applications for the Fourth and Final Cohort of the Digitalise Youth Fellowship.

We are looking for passionate young journalists and digital content creators from 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗺𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮, 𝗢𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗮, and 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮 who want to strengthen their skills in ethical journalism, fact-checking, digital safety, responsible content creation, and digital rights.

The fellowship is 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱.
