Life, Fr. Luan said, is like driving a car . The mirror is important, but it is small for a reason. It is only to remind us where we came from—not where we are going. If a driver keeps staring at the mirror, an accident is certain.

In the same way, when we live in the past—our mistakes, failures, or pain—we crash into the same problems again. Growth begins when we face forward, hold the steering wheel firmly, and move on with courage.

Learn from the past, but never live there. The road ahead is where your future waits.

Celebrating Success: The HOPEfT Concluding Program at Don Bosco polytechnic college Adwa

መዛዘሚ መደብ HOPEfT ትግራይ ኣብ ቀፅሪ ዶን ቦስኮ ፖሊቴክኒክ ኮሌጅ ዓድዋ
ንልዕሊ ሓደ ዓመት ን 900 ተማሃሮ ዝዋሃብ ዝነበረ መጠናኽሪ መደብ ትምርቲ መዕፀዊ ፕሮግራም ተኻይዱ ኣፍቲ መዕፀዊ ፕሮግራም ንሕድሕድ ተማሃራይ ናይ ደፍተር ፣ቦርሳ፣ ካልኦት ናውቲ ትምርቲ ድጋፍ ዝተገበረሎም እንትኾን ዝተፈላለዩ ፕሮግራማት እውን ዝሓቖፈ ነይሩ ።
We are proud to announce the successful completion of the HOPEfT Project (Humanitarian Relief Operations and Protection in Emergency for vulnerable households and IDPs in Tigray)!

In partnership with HOPEfT Tigray, Don Bosco Polytechnic College Adwa has spent the past year providing "Comprehensive Classes" to ensure that the crisis did not rob our children of their future.

By the Numbers: 900 Students supported (480 girls, 420 boys). 12 Schools participated in the program. Grades 5-8 received intensive supplemental education. Full Supplies (bags, notebooks, and pens) distributed to every student today!

This project was about more than just lessons—it was about protecting the most vulnerable households and IDPs in our community and giving them a path forward through knowledge.

Today, the Salesians of Don Bosco Adwa Delivered humanitarian assistance to the displaced people of Htsats. We provided vital humanitarian and material aid, reaching families in urgent need. This support reflects our continued commitment to stand with displaced communities and to offer hope, dignity, and solidarity during difficult times. Together, we believe compassion can make a difference.

Build the Future / መፃኢና ንህነፅ
Today, (December 20, 2025), Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Adwa, hosted a technology-focused activity at its Main Campus under the theme “Build the Future ” This initiative represents an important step toward introducing a strong and inclusive technology culture in the city and the wider region.
the day’s activities were carried out successfully, focusing on practical innovation and skill development. Participants engaged in a technology competition that challenged them to design mobile application solutions addressing critical social and economic issues. Key focus areas included mobile applications to help prevent human trafficking and digital solutions to support farmers, improving access to information and services.

The event also featured a Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge, providing hands-on experience in cybersecurity awareness, problem-solving, and ethical hacking skills.

To recognize outstanding performance and encourage excellence, prizes were awarded as follows:
1st Place: 20,000 ETB
2nd Place: 10,000 ETB
3rd Place: 5,000 ETB
The activity demonstrated the creativity, commitment, and potential of young innovators and reinforced Don Bosco Polytechnic College’s dedication to empowering youth through technology, innovation, and community-driven solutions.
