The complete animation for the 4th Dimension at the A Grid Aalto University campus is now available in on all mobile devices. If you have a minute to spare and are passing by the fourth floor after exploring the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Business Incubation Centre or want to take a break from work, make sure to check out the I-Wing staircase.
Courtesy of the people at Makerspace and , there is now a laser-cut QR code, which directs you to the (a free augmented reality tool for art used by individuals and museums). After installing the app, launch it (opens camera), stand at a distance from the mural artwork, and direct your device towards it. The mural artwork acts as an image tracker for the video sequence in 3D space.
I call it A Grid Aalto AR (AAA) Corner. The supporting tagline- Energizing your experience- highlights the entertainment aspect of the animated storylines and their ability to power one’s day and inspire through audiovisual means.
My ultimate goal with this project is to energize/ empower the A Grid community and inspire subsequent audiovisual creations by others in AR.
