From all the luxury brands out there, I think I love aesthetics the most. The packaging, the scents, the colors, — everything embodies the brand’s DNA so perfectly, and I’m here for it. 💅
I already featured their lip balm in my nanoshelfie series, and now I finally found the time (and inspiration) to create something for the nail varnish.

It’s actually the first time I bought a product purely for a photoshoot (I never use regular nail polishes), so let’s just say my dedication to this project deserves a little applause. 👏✨

My take on the sweets and beauty products theme.

Featuring my favourite products. Love their lip gloss, lipstick, face primer, and brow tint. They’re all great at what they do, and the packaging is probably every product photographer’s dream: clever concept, beautiful colours, non-reflective plastic, and clear logo.

When I first saw the brief for this image, I thought, oh, this shouldn’t be very difficult. As I’m sure you all well remember😂, I recently done a shortcake and baked three pumping pies, so styling a cup of hot cocoa seemed easy peasy to me.

Well… it wasn’t. Styling drinks is a whole different game, and I was obviously unfamiliar with its rules.

Did you know that cocoa tends to get a weird white film on top of it after just a few minutes in a cup? Neither, did I! Marshmallows melt, drown, and swim around the cup in all the wrong directions. I can handle complex shoots, but honestly, this one caught me off guard.🫠

A couple of things I learned: keep your cocoa cool, stir it each time before transferring to the cup, and use a paperclip to style marshmallows just the way you want them🖇️

A Halloween post came early this year👻

I was stuck with these photos for hours in my studio. The lighting was off, the texture was wrong, and I had no idea what I was doing. Probably every creator has been there, in your own version of a horror story, when everything you do seems tasteless and utterly ugly. Haven’t you?

My personal tip is to scroll your feed at that very moment, looking at all the beautiful works other creators post, just to add the extra dash of self-pity into the mix🫠.

But then I somehow figured out this deep blue background, and everything just clicked✅. I came out on the other end of my perfect meltdown with something moody and dark to commemorate October and its best holiday🍂.

P.S. I don’t even have a single video or photo from this shoot, that’s how exhausted and tired I was!

Love this Aura cushion. 💫
It might’ve felt a bit heavy for summer, but I know I’ll be reaching for it more and more as winter sets in. 🐳Hydrating, medium coverage, and that gorgeous satin finish, plus so many shades to choose from , it’s definitely one of my cold-weather staples❄️🥶

I’d been searching for the right concept to feature it and finally found the inspiration for a little pet project🪨🐚🐟.

To be honest, I sometimes treat personal shoots like they’re a waste of time and keep postponing them, which is such the wrong mindset. Because every time I push myself to create just for me, I’m reminded how special it feels when one of those self-initiated ideas ends up becoming the reference for a real client’s brief♥️

So here’s to creative play, late-night ideas, and projects that start purely out of love for what we do. ✨

They say there’s a first time for everything, and this September was my first time baking a real pumpkin pie. Not just one, but THREE! 🥧🥧🥧

Cooking has never exactly been my superpower, but after whipping up fake ice cream and a real strawberry shortcake for Laneige shoots, my confidence was running high. And guess what? The pies actually turned out great (a relief, considering you can’t just pick up a ready-to-eat pumpkin pie here in Finland).

So now, not only can I do food photography, but if this whole photography thing ever falls through, I clearly have a backup career waiting for me in baking. 😉
