Why did people get shocked when Mityana aspiring MP Nabbosa, an artist said she wanted to be on the entertainment committee when she gets to parliament? Many analysts said that committe does not exist. True is does not exist but can be created.

According to the Ugandan parliament website, committees are established within a legislative body, such as a parliament or congress, to focus on specific areas of legislative or administrative responsibility. These committees play a crucial role in the legislative process by conducting in-depth reviews, investigations, and discussions related to particular subjects. Standing committees are a fundamental part of the legislative system in many countries and help ensure efficient and informed lawmaking.

Now that artists are still fighting for the implementation of their copyright, I find Nabossa’s response relevant if she gets to parliament and advocate for the creation of a new committee and later on serve on it because it is the field she knows best.

The 11th parliament shall definately make other changes in the house. We never had elderly MPs, they were creacted by the 9th parliament. I would instead applaud a person with such a vision instead of expressing vindictive criticism towards new ideas. Had the same been said by a serving MP, the topic of discussion would be focused on why we need an Entertainment committee.

I've just learnt that Madagascar's president, Andry Rajoelina, has fled to France. He is reported to have held a France passport too. Such leaders have no urge for developing their nation because they have alternative escape. Society must assume power and ride them out.

Hello Mr Kakesa, in Nsaggu Zion and canaan estate over 80 homes we have spent over one month without electricity power. Some neighbours resorted to connect to the nearest Nsaggu trading center transformer which again effects over 90 homes because of overloading. The power is below 96 voltages. We submitted our complaints to uganda electricity distribution company limited Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL)Natete Nalukolongo branch about the theft of our ABC cables which connects from Nsaggu Namugoga. Some officials came at site but they have failed to restore our power. Now the thieves have taken advantage of darkness to broke our homes. Please Anyone concerns can replace our Abc cables with live wire. Thank you.
