The series features activists, experts, researchers, and politicians, including runner-up presidential candidate Pekka Haavisto and activist Sini Saarela. Using rare archival footage, it brings historical events to life while offering fresh perspectives and sparking renewed debate.

From high-profile river protection campaigns and forest disputes in Lapland to movements like Elokapina, the series presents the history of environmental activism in Finland through the stories of the people involved. The first episode of Suoran toiminnan Suomi premieres on Yle Areena on October 13, with television broadcast starting October 16.
