Majaoja Percussion Competition Lyömäsoitinkilpailu Tampereella neljättä kertaa. The competition is held for the fourth time Kilpailu järjestetään nyt neljättä kertaa.

Tampereen konservatorio ja Majaoja-säätiö järjestävät yhteistyössä Porin Palmgren-konservatorion, Pirkanmaan musiikkiopiston ja Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun kanssa Majaoja-lyömäsoitinkilpailun Tampereen konservatoriolla 26.-28.9.2024.

A great event has come to an end. We thank all the great competitors, judges Se-Mi Hwang, Johan Bridger, Timothy Ferchen, partners Tampere Conservatory, Pirkanmaa Music Institute, Tampere University of Applied Science, Palmgren Concervatory and of course Majaoja Foundation. We are truly grateful to be able to play our part in promoting the careers of these talented percussionists. See you in a few years!

Saturday night's festive and at the same time relaxed awards ceremony for categories A and B was a memorable one. Category B:

III Efe Sağıroğluları

The jury also awarded a special prize to the young talent Justus Hautakangas, mallets from percussion.fi

The great percussion festival continues! Thirteen performances have been heard today in category B and the jury has selected seven players for Saturday's final: Anna Fiveiska, Efe Sağıroğluları, Alex Biró, Yixu Wang, Zuzanna Polończyk, Nadia Mikołajczyk and Sihan Shen. Congratulations!

Our Story

Tampereen Musiikkiakatemia ja Majaoja-säätiö järjestävät yhteistyössä Tampere Filharmonian, Taideyliopiston Sibelius-Akatemian ja Porin Palmgren-konservatorion kanssa Majaoja-lyömäsoitinkilpailun Tampereen Musiikkiakatemialla 2.‒5.10.2019. Kilpailu on avoin kansalaisuudesta riippumatta kaikille lyömäsoittajille. Kilpailu järjestetään kolmatta kertaa, ja se laajenee nyt ensimmäistä kertaa koko maailman laajuiseksi.

The Majaoja Percussion Competition is organized bythe Tampere Music Academy in cooperationwith Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts and the Pori Palmgren Conservatory. The competition takes place2.– 5.10.2019 in Tampere, Finland. The competition is open to all percussionists, regardless of nationality. The competition is held for the third time and has grown to be worldwide for the first time.
